Football – Europe – World Cup Qualifier Betting Tips

Group D wraps up with a mouth-watering ‘home international’ and ‘winner takes all’ clash between Wales and Republic of Ireland at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in what is sure to be a fiercely contested duel for automatic qualification for the World Cup finals.

Starting with Wales, and Chris Coleman’s side still remain the only team to experience defeat in Group D in what has been an impressive campaign so far, but The Dragons will be keen to make sure that all of their previous hard work is well rewarded here tonight.

Wales will be without their star player, Gareth Bale, but nevertheless, Wales are expected to go on the attack for all three points tonight, and with a good home record of  2-2-0  7/2 under their belts, and the likes of Bradshaw, Vokes and Robson-Kanu up front, they’ll be hard to stop.

Republic of Ireland will also head into tonight’s Celtic encounter in confident mood as they come into this clash on the back a 2-0 home win over Moldova which has kept them in the hunt for the play-off spot, as well as possible automatic qualification if they win tonight and Serbia lose.

The Irish are also unbeaten away from home in Group D as they’ve registered wins at Moldova and Austria as well as securing valuable points against Serbia and Georgia in 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.

However, they’ll be facing a noisy and boisterous home crowd this evening, and although they won’t have Bale to compete with, they’ll still be facing a tough challenge in the valleys this evening.

Last time these two teams met, the game ended in a 0-0 draw in Dublin, but with home advantage here, I’ll back Wales with the draw no bet option.
