Liverpool to get valuable win

Premier League Tips

Saturday 24th November 1500hrs Watford v Liverpool Football – England – Premier League The Premier League is back and we have a clash between two of the top seven at Vicarage Road. We’ve virtually completed the first third of this campaign and it’s been an excellent one for both these clubs with the home team proving to be one of the surprises thus far. There have been some memorable encounters and goals scored in this clash and we hope for more of the same this weekend. Continue reading for a match preview of Watford against Liverpool with a selected best betting tip.

We all know that Watford were my tip to be relegated and as the weeks pass by that looks more and more unlikely. After a stunning start to the season when winning their first four in the league and going joint top, I was starting to get some renewed hope when they lost three of their next four but to their immense credit the Hornets were able to win two games in a row. The wins away to Wolves and at home to Huddersfield were fine performances and another indication that this a team who are capable of maintaining their position in the top 10, if not higher. Javi Gracia would have been disappointed with the results in the last couple of games before the international break when losing away to Newcastle and managing a draw at Southampton but that’s a mark of how far they have come this season and they will be looking to go again at home to Liverpool on Saturday. Gracia know how big a challenge this will be but with a win over Spurs at Vicarage Road already there should be a quiet confidence amongst the squad and they often relish the tag of underdogs, especially at home.

Liverpool have not had many disappointments this season but their biggest to date was undoubtedly losing 2-0 away to Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League, a game they were counting on winning to advance their hopes of progressing in that competition. It leaves their qualification hopes in the balance but where this Liverpool team is different is they were able to respond to that loss in the best possible way a few days later by defeating Fulham at home. It allowed them to go into the international break in second spot, two points behind leaders Manchester City, and are still unbeaten in the league after 12 games. It’s been a really strong start to their season but perhaps not with the style of football or dynamism that we have become used to from Jurgen Klopp’s men. There has been a noticeable change of approach as the German attempts to find a suitable style that will see his team win regularly but throughout the whole of a season. The high intensity of last season see them burn out around January time and there chance was gone. Klopp has realised that and he believes this is the best way of going about trying to topple City at the top of the table.

Watford v Liverpool Betting Tip

As I noted at the beginning of this preview, there have been plenty of memorable moments when these two sides have met and they seem to happen at Vicarage Road. Emre Can’s wonderful volley back in May 2017 goes down as one of the best goals in Premier League history whilst the first game of last season ended 3-3 in what was a terrific contest. It would be a real treat if we seen a repeat of that but we know that this is a more cautious Liverpool team, as shown by none of their last four away games containing more than two goals. Watford’s home form is a complete contrast as four of their first six have had three or more goals scored.

It’s entering a really busy period of the season for all clubs but particularly for teams who are competing in Europe and Liverpool will know that all too well this week. Klopp’s team faces a massive Champions League game away to PSG in midweek and they are really looking at having to win both if they are not to drop further behind City in the league or face an early exit in Europe. Watford will prove stern opposition but I think the visitors quality will tell in this one and I can see them dominating from the off in this one so take them to be winning at half time and again at full time.
