Indeed, the east midlands club have now won five of their last six matches as Rooney’s tenure starts to gain momentum and this includes an earlier 1-0 win away from home at QPR, but their revival is expected to come under scrutiny away at Watford on Friday night.
Results have certainly picked up away from home under Rooney but they could come off second-best against a motivated Watford outfit on Friday night.
