Another fixture involving an impact upon the play-off pack is up next with West Brom entertaining Swansea City as the betting tips continue at The Hawthorns with the hosts wobbling right now, having gone three matches without a win…

Championship Betting at Betfred

West Brom Prediction

Wobbly West Brom will be desperate to return to winning ways, especially at The Hawthorns as they’ve failed to win any of their last three matches overall, having lost to Sheffield United, Leeds United and could only muster a point against bottom club Ipswich Town in a 1-1 draw on home turf.

Bizarrely, West Brom’s best hopes of attaining the best finish they can in the top six of the Championship has been their form away from home where The Baggies have won four of their last five matches, although this run also came crashing back down to earth with their recent 4-0 thrashing by Leeds United at Elland Road.

The hosts are now without a home win from their last six matches as the pressure guage has been turned higher with West Brom drawing with Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town, along with suffering defeats to Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

West Brom still occupy 4th place though, and with 61 points under their belts, they’re still well placed for a top six finish, but automatic promotion has gone out of the window.

15 of West Brom’s 18 home matches have seen both teams score.

Key-Facts – West Brom v Swansea City

  • West Brom haven’t won any of their last 6 matches at home
  • 15 of West Brom’s 18 home matches have seen both teams score
  • 10 of Swansea City’s 18 away matches have also seen both teams score

Swansea City Prediction

Swansea City dropped down to 15th place on the Championship ladder after suffering a third defeat in their last four matches when they lost 1-0 away at Championship leaders, Norwich City at Carrow Road on the weekend.

Earlier defeats away at Leeds United 2-1 and Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 have all but seen Swansea’s very slim hopes of a play-off place evaporate and they’ll have to make do with a probable mid-table finish in their first season under manager, Graham Potter.

Swansea make their way to the west midlands on the back of a four-match losing streak away from home which consists of defeats at Bristol City, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City in a brutal sequence of fixtures on the road, but they may just fancy their chances of extending West Brom’s misery at The Hawthorns in this clash.

An away record of 5-4-9 19/23 is nowhere near good enough for a tilt at the play-offs, but Swansea still carry a serious goal threat in the shape of leading goalscorer Mc Burnie (16 goals) while 10 of their 18 away matches have also seen both teams score.

Betting Tips Verdict

With West Brom’s uncertainty at The Hawthorns, Swansea could make life difficult for The Baggies here, with both teams scoring in this clash.
