Although West Ham come into this Friday night encounter having gone four matches without a win in the Premier League which includes recent defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves, they’ve since recovered to pick up points in back-to-back draws with Liverpool and Crystal Palace which has maintained their position in the top half of the Premier League.
It’s worth bearing in mind also, that West Ham’s recent 2-0 and 3-0 losses to Bournemouth and Wolves respectively were both away from home while at their London Stadium, The Hammers possess a record that stands at 5-3-5 18/19 which they’ll be keen to further improve upon in this fixture with Fulham.
The hosts have suffered just one defeat from their last six matches in the top flight at their London Stadium which was a slightly surprising 2-0 loss to Watford, but wins against Cardiff City, Crystal Palace and most impressive of all, Arsenal, have meant that West Ham have avoided any late season relegation drama this time around.
Just as important is the return to fitness of striker Arnautovic (7 goals) who was linked with a lucrative move to China which eventually fell through, as well as the goalscoring form of midfielder Anderson (8 goals) and forward Hernandez (4 goals).

Fulham slumped to a fifth defeat in six matches in the Premier League last time out at Craven Cottage when they lost 3-0 to Manchester United, as the hosts squandered a couple of great opportunities in front of goal in the first half, and then surrendered tamely to United as they ran out of ideas in the second half.
Perhaps more poignant was the fans’ audible discontent at manager Claudio Ranieri’s tactics while the presence of German midfielder Schurrle was an awkward situation for all involved with the club following his controversial interview in the days leading up to the fixture which indicated he’d be on his way once Fulham were relegated.
It looks even more likely that Fulham will go straight back down to the Championship as there’s been very little evidence of Ranieri being able to turn The Cottagers’ situation around as they sit second from bottom and now eight points adrift of Cardiff City and safety.
