West Ham vs Tottenham Live Stats & Betting Odds

West Ham Prediction – Can West Ham break current poor run?

It’s now 6 matches in the Premier League since West Ham registered all three points when they recorded a 2-0 home win against Manchester United, but Manuel Pellegrini’s side have since slumped to 6 matches without success and this has left The Hammers in 16th place and just 5 points above the relegation zone.

Nevertheless, West Ham may well fancy their chances of ending this recent barren spell of results against a Tottenham side who have just witnessed a major changing of the guard with former manager, Pochettino, leaving Spurs and Jose Mourinho being ushered in.

West Ham’s form at home has been inconsistent as expected and a heavy 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City didn’t help matters, but the hosts did bounce back with wins over Norwich City and Manchester United, but have since gone 3 league matches without a win at London Stadium.

Subsequent defeats to Crystal Palace 2-1 and Newcastle United 3-2 along with a point in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United have been disappointing, so perhaps the goals markets is worth a dabble here – especially as the last 3 home games have seen both teams score.

Tottenham Prediction – Can Tottenham’s fortunes change in new era?

Although Tottenham sit two league positions above West Ham prior to this lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, they too have experienced a run of matches without a win in the Premier League as Spurs are without a win from their last 5 matches.

Tottenham’s last success in the top flight came towards the end of September when they registered a 2-1 home win against Southampton, but defeats away from home at Brighton 3-0 and Liverpool 2-1 along with disappointing draws with Watford, Everton and Sheffield United have cost the north London outfit valuable ground on the top four.

Indeed, Tottenham now find themselves 11 points behind 4th placed Manchester City prior to this weekend’s action, and without an away win so far in this Premier League campaign, the immediate future for Tottenham appears uncertain.

The appointment of Mourinho has met with mixed reaction as expected, but Tottenham’s former attacking style may well be comprised for a tighter defensive unit upon which Mourinho has built his recent success around.

That said, it may take a few weeks to iron out Tottenham’s problematic defence as 9 of their 12 matches to date have seen both teams score, while 5 of Tottenham’s 6 away matches have also seen goals scored at both ends.

Key-Facts – West Ham vs Tottenham

  • Each of West Ham’s last 3 home games have resulted with both teams scoring
  • 5 of Tottenham’s 6 away matches have also seen both teams score
  • 4 of the last 6 meetings between these two sides have seen both teams score

Betting Tips Verdict

Both West Ham and Tottenham have struggled for results lately in the Premier League and as a result, both teams could score here.
