Weymouth Preview – Can the Terras seal all three points on home soil?

Weymouth were promoted from the National League South last term, finishing third before beating Dorking and Dartford in the play-offs in July and August, respectively. The Terras were very impressive last term, losing only six of their 35 league matches. They won 17 and drew 12 of the other 29.

Weymouth, who are now managed by former Wales international Brian Stock, started life in the National League with a decent away draw last weekend. After a tough fixture with Altrincham at Moss Lane, the Terras left Greater Manchester with a 0-0 draw to show for their efforts.

Our betting prediction:
Woking to be winning at half time and full time

Weymouth were excellent at home last season. The Dorset club won 11 league matches at the Bob Lucas Stadium, with only three teams leaving their patch with maximum points. Only Wealdstone, who were promoted as champions, picked up more home points. Can they take that form into the National League this season?

Woking Preview – Cardinals to make it two wins from two?

Woking had a mediocre season in the National League last term. Alan Dowson’s boys finished in mid-table, racking up 55 points from 38 games. They took 25 of those points on the road, winning seven, drawing four and losing eight of 19.

Woking kicked off this season with a hard-fought 2-1 home win over Solihull Moors last Saturday. The Cardinals fell behind to an early penalty, but they rallied after the break, levelling the scores just eight minutes into the second half. Seven minutes later, the comeback was complete when Kane Ferdinand netted on the hour mark.

Like several clubs in the National League, Woking will have promotion aspirations this season. The lure of the Football League is huge for a club like Woking, but can they force their way into the play-offs in an extremely competitive division?
