Wolfsburg Prediction

Wolfsburg have moved up to 8th place in the German top flight having put together a promising four match sequence without defeat which includes recent wins over RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and Nurnberg with the latter two results being recorded away form home.

However, the hosts will no doubt be keen to further improve upon what looks like an ordinary home record which stands at 2-3-3 11/14 with the hosts winning just once in their last seven matches at their VOLKSWAGEN ARENA which was a 1-0 home win over RB Leipzig.

But Wolfsburg may not get a better chance to redeem themselves on home soil than when they face lowly Stuttgart, and with forwards Weghorst and Ginczek (5 goals apiece) up front, the hosts will be eyeing off all three points here.

The hosts have failed to score just once in all of their home matches so far this season.

Stuttgart Prediction

Stuttgart sit fourth from bottom in the German top flight having registered just four league wins this term which at first glance may not appear to be too bad, but three of these have been recorded at their Mercedes-Benz-Arena while just the one win away at second from bottom club Nurnberg has been their only highlight on their travels to date.

Recent home wins over Augsburg 1-0 and Hertha Berlin 2-1 have enabled Markus Weinzieri’s side to avoid being embroiled in the relegation places so far, but just two points separate them from Fortuna Dusseldorf who occupy the relegation play-off spot.

Results away from home have been very poor indeed though for the visitors who have lost five of their last six with defeats suffered at RB Leipzig, Hannover, Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Moenchengladbach, as well as failing to score in 5 of their 8 away matches amidst an overall record of 1-1-6 6/18.

Betting Tips Verdict

Wolfsburg have put some encouraging results together in recent weeks while Stuttgart continue to struggle on the road – this should be a home win here.
