Wolves earned a valuable point away from home at Loftus Road against Queens Park Rangers in a 1-1 draw, but they’ll need to improve their form on home turf at Molineux if they’re to stand a chance of sneaking through the back door into the play-offs.
Wolves have lost just once in their last six Championship matches overall, but their form on home turf needs to improve from their existing record of 4-5-5 17/19 as they’ve lost to Leeds United and Cardiff City but have also registered wins over Reading and Fulham.
But with the visit of bottom club Bolton Wanderers tonight, Wolves stand a good chance of taking all three points in this encounter which would lift them up into the top half of the division.
Visitors Bolton Wanderers registered a much-needed three points last time out in the Championship with a resounding 3-1 win over fellow strugglers MK Dons which followed an earlier local derby win over Blackburn Rovers, but The Trotters’ away form has been woeful this season.
Bolton’s away record stands at 0-3-11 9/31 and only second from bottom club Charlton Athletic (33 goals) have conceded more goals on the road than Bolton, but this is scant relief for a side who have lost six of their last seven on their travels.
In addition, not only have Bolton failed to score on nine occasions on their travels already, but they’ve also kept just two clean sheets along with conceding 2 goals or more on 10 occasions out of their 14 away matches to date.
