Wolves take on Fulham at Molineux in Friday night’s Championship action with the hosts looking to open up a four point margin ahead of second placed Cardiff City and Saturday’s set of fixtures.
Wolves have surged to the top of the Championship with a string of some fine results and performances, and having won four of their last five overall, the west midlands club look set to add to their points tally on Friday night.
Wolves have put in some impressive results at home too so far this season which is reflected by their home record of 5-1-1 13/8 which includes winning their last three home matches on the trot with wins over Barnsley, Aston Villa and Preston North End. Attacking midfielder, Jota (7 goals) and Brazilian forward, Bonatini (9 goals) are the danger men up front for Wolves.
Visitors Fulham sit in a disappointing 16th place in the Championship after last season’s play-off spot, as the Cottagers were expected to push on and challenge for automatic promotion this time around in the English second tier.
However, results haven’t gone Fulham’s way so far this season and they make their way to the west midlands on the back of a dismal four match run without a win which includes defeats to Aston Villa and Bristol City, along with points against Preston North End and most disappointing of all, a 1-1 draw at home with bottom club, Bolton Wanderers.
The London club actually hold a better record away from home than at Craven Cottage, with stats of 3-2-2 10/7 which includes wins at Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and QPR, but it seems unlikely they’ll spring another surprise at Molineux this evening.
