Championship league leaders, Wolves, were brought crashing back down to earth in the west midlands defeat at Aston Villa as they went down to a heavy 4-1 loss at Villa Park, and they’ll be licking their wounds after such a humiliating defeat to their nearby rivals.

The Royals’ solitary win during this poor sequence of results was a 3-1 win away at relegation battlers, Burton Albion, at the end of January, but with a disappointing away record of 5-5-7 21/22 and a steady decline down the league ladder, this could be another disappointing evening for Stam and co.
