Wolves to put Sunderland to the sword at Molineux

Championship Tips

WOLVES v SUNDERLAND

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Championship league leaders, Wolves, will be going in search of a seventh straight win in the second tier on Saturday afternoon when they take on relegation threatened Sunderland at Molineux as the hosts look to pull further away at the top.

Wolves hold a four point lead at the top of the division ahead of second placed Cardiff City, and having chalked up six straight league wins on the bounce, confidence will be high this afternoon, not only because they possess a very strong home record which stands at  8-1-1  24/10, but also with a local derby win away at Birmingham City last time out.

Goals have also been flowing for the black country outfit as they’ve scored more than any other team so far in the Championship, and the likes of Bonatini (12 goals) and Jota (9 goals) could put Sunderland to the sword here.

Onto Sunderland then, and a change of manager with Chris Coleman coming in to replace the sacked Simon Grayson brought about The Black Cats second league win of the season when they recently beat Burton Albion 2-0 away from home.

However, with no disrespect, Burton now sit bottom of the Championship and defeats to Aston Villa and more recently, a 3-1 loss at home to Reading last weekend will have left Coleman knowing what a massive job he has on his hands just to keep them up this season.

Both of Sunderland’s wins have been on the road as they continue to struggle in front of their home fans at the Stadium of Light, but their record still reads a disappointing  2-4-4  15/19 with both successes being against bottom half opposition.

Sunderland need to get something from this clash, but Wolves are in rampant form right now and I can see more goals flying in today as a result.
