Following worrying back-to-back defeats against Arsenal 2-0 at home and a 1-0 loss away from home at Sheffield United, Wolves seem to have got back on an even keel as the west midlands club have taken four points from their last two matches to keep them on track for a possible European spot next season.
A 3-0 home win over a lacklustre Everton outfit saw Wolves return to winning ways and they then followed up that valuable win with a solid point in a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor against Burnley, and Wolves now return to Molineux for this Monday’s clash against what looks like a disinterested Crystal Palace outfit.
Wolves have lost just one of their last six matches at home which was to Arsenal but they’ve also picked up wins against Norwich City, Bournemouth and Everton during this period as well as keeping five clean sheets from these six matches too.
Crystal Palace Preview – Can Crystal Palace halt losing streak?
Crystal Palace racked up a fourth straight league win upon their return to action in the Premier League with a 2-0 win down on the south coast against Bournemouth after the lockdown was lifted, but The Eagles have since slumped in dramatic fashion.
The visitors have quickly lost their subsequent six matches on the trot with losses against Liverpool, Burnley, Leicester City, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester United and their slump in form has been in dramatic contrast to the aforementioned winning streak that preceded it.
Palace manager, Roy Hodgson, may well freshen up his squad in a bid to arrest Crystal Palace’s shard decline in form, but with little left to play for, this could be a tough 90 minutes as the chances of Palace suddenly finding form and beating Wolves at Molineux seems highly unlikely, especially as they’ve managed just two wins from their last 11 matches on their travels.
