A 1-1 draw at home with Newcastle United last weekend extended Wolves’s unbeaten run in the Premier League to three matches but it could have been even better for the west midlands club as Jimenez’s seemingly last winner for Wolves was cancelled out by Murphy’s late equaliser for The Magpies.
Nevertheless, Wolves seem to be heading in the right direction after a slow start to the new season which resulted in losing two of their first three matches with losses incurred against Manchester City and West Ham after the hosts had recorded an opening day 2-0 win at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United.
Wolves have been hard to beat at Molineux for some time now as the west midlands club have suffered just three defeats out of their last 13 matches on home turf (to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City), while their last meeting at home against Crystal Palace ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts.

Crystal Palace registered a welcome 2-1 win in their recent London tussle against Fulham at Craven Cottage after The Eagles had failed to win any of their previous three matches in the English top flight which included back-to-back defeats against Everton and Chelsea – the latter being a heavy 4-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.
It’s been a reasonable start to the new Premier League season overall though for Palace under Roy Hodgson as the visitors have won three of their first six matches this term which has helped the London club into an early 7th place just above Wolves on goal difference.
However, with just three wins out of their last 14 matches overall and just four wins from their last 15 matches on the road, Palace are by no means guaranteed the three points at Molineux and will face a tough assignment in the west midlands on Friday night.
