Wolves Preview – Can Wolves maintain strong home form?

Saturday’s hosts, Wolves, seem to have hit something of a speed-bump of late as they’ve suffered 3 defeats out of their last 5 matches overall in the Premier League, and these losses have resulted in Wolves dropping down to 7th place in the top flight.

These losses have been incurred against Tottenham, Liverpool and Watford, the latter two both being away from home, but Wolves return to Molineux this Saturday where they’ll entertain a Newcastle side who have lost 7 of their 10 away matches to date this season.

Results at home though have been more encouraging for Wolves as the hosts have suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 7 matches which was the 2-1 loss to Tottenham, but recent wins against Watford, Aston Villa, West Ham and Manchester City should give the hosts plenty of confidence ahead of this clash.

The bigger picture shows us that Wolves have lost just 2 of their last 18 matches at home in the Premier League, while this season’s record to date stands at 4-4-2 16/14, and forward Jimenez (8 goals) will be keen to add to his tally here.

Our betting prediction:

Newcastle United Preview – Can Newcastle avoid fourth loss on trot?

If Wolves have hit a speed-bump then Newcastle United appear to have hit a dead-end as The Magpies have lost 4 of their last 5 matches overall in the Premier League including losing their last three matches on the trot, which has seen the visitors plummet down to 13th place.

An encouraging spell of results from the end of October through to early December saw Newcastle lose just 1 of their 7 matches played during this period and in turn had helped lift Steve Bruce’s side to within the fringes of the early European spots in the top flight.

However, these recent spate of defeats to Burnley, Manchester United, Everton and Leicester City have done a fair amount of damage to Newcastle’s previous lofty ambitions and the visitors now face a tricky trip to the west midlands just 5 points above the relegation zone.

In addition, Newcastle have lost 3 of their last 4 matches on the road and indeed, possess a very poor away record that stands at 3-0-7 9/21, so it’ll be far from plain sailing for Newcastle at Molineux this Saturday.
