Wycombe Wanderers Preview – Chairboys to crash to a fifth consecutive Championship loss?

Wycombe Wanderers have never been in the second division of English football before, and they could be making an instant return to League One if they cannot turn their fortunes around. So far, Gareth Ainsworth’s men have lost all four of their Championship games.

On the opening weekend of the league season, Wycombe conceded late to lose 1-0 at home to Rotherham United, who were promoted from League One with Wanderers last term. The Buckinghamshire club were then thumped 5-0 at Blackburn Rovers on matchday two.

Our betting prediction:
Millwall to be winning at half time and full time

After losing 2-0 at home to Swansea City, Wycombe signed off for the international break with another 2-0 loss, this time to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

This was always going to be a difficult season for Wycombe, but if they do end up being relegated, Ainsworth and his team will not want to go down without a fight. Can they finally pick up a positive result this Saturday?

Millwall Preview – Rowett’s Lions to roar to victory in Buckinghamshire?

Gary Rowett did a sensational job at The Den after taking over from the popular Neil Harris last year. The Lions were well in the promotion picture, eventually missing out by just two points. Securing a top six finish will be the priority for the London club this term.

Millwall have made a steady enough start to their 2020-21 league campaign. The Lions drew with Stoke City and Brentford, and beat Rotherham in their opening three. However, before the international break, Rowett’s side suffered their first Championship loss of the season, losing 2-1 to Swansea in South Wales.

Millwall may be on the road again this weekend, but the Londoners are the odds-on favourites to return to the capital with all three points. Can the Lions roar back from defeat with victory at Adams Park on Saturday?

Wycombe Wanderers vs Millwall Betting Advice

The last four Wycombe v Millwall meetings have been cup affairs, with Wanderers and the Lions both picking up two wins apiece. They have not met in league action since February 2010. That season, the Chairboys did the double over Millwall in League One.

Key Facts – Wycombe Wanderers vs Millwall Betting Tip

  • This will be the first league meeting between the two sides for over a decade
  • Wycombe have started life in the Championship with four defeats, scoring none and conceding ten
  • Millwall have picked up five points so far

This will no doubt be a long, hard season for Wycombe. Having taken zero points from their opening four, we can see Wanderers crashing to a fifth straight Championship reverse on Saturday.
