SMART LIVE SPORTS REVIEW 2019 - SPORTS BETTING REVIEW

Important Notice: Smart Live Sports is no longer operative in the UK.

OUR OPINIONS ABOUT SMART LIVE SPORTS

  • Good market coverage and depth in the sportsbook.
  • Very competitive odds and bonuses.
  • Customer service available to back up account management.

Online-Betting Rating:

Smart Live Gaming are predominating a casino-based operator, but they do offer good sports betting opportunities as well. If you are heavily into the casino side of gaming as well of the sports then you will find the a good operator to be with. Even if you are just on the sports side of things then there is enough quality running through the sportsbook to pique good interest. They have been around the block since 2007 and they run their head office from London. They aren’t yet one of the more established bookmakers in the UK but their base is growing.

Betting markets and odds quality 6/10

Betting markets

The higher the betting margins, the less value at the end of the day for the punter. There are plenty of markets available and the market coverage isn’t all that bad. There is depth there and coverage from a variety of markets in a single sport for example. If you break that down into individual sporting events and the coverage is there and they do cover a lot of the niche betting sports like Badny, AFL, Hurling and Pesapallo. So that’s a bonus because if you gravitate towards those you will be covered. Again, there’s nothing wrong with the sportsbook coverage, but football is their bread and butter and you can tell that.

odds comparisons

If you look down to the promotions then you will have a clue about where their priorities lie. They are very football centric when it comes to their sportsbook, but as a plus, they do offer horse racing as well. Going back to the sportsbook through they offer some decent odds, even though you will be hard pushed to find them on odds comparison sites. Their football markets stand up to decent value and their betting margins on the sport is just around the 5% mark which isn’t all that bad really. Really you are looking at the football betting with them and that’s about it, because while they offer a lot of sports, there are some higher betting margins running across the rest of the sportsbook.

Smart Live Sports sign up bonus, free bets & current promotions 6/10

bonus offers

You can enjoy a cash back offer from Smart Live Sports as a new customer. After signing up with them you then have to go and make your first deposit with them and claim your bonus from them which is a 0-0 bonus offer on soccer matches. You have to place a single bet on one of the selected games currently running the offer on a home or away win. If the game then ends up being a 0-0 draw then you will get your cash back on that offer up to a free £25 bet. This offer is actually open to both new and existing customers and is their big promotion that they run. New Customer Offer, T&C’s Apply, 18+. Please Gamble Responsibly. See details directly at Smart Live Sports.

You can easily get to their promotions page from a link at the top of the site and there isn’t a tremendous amount of offer running unusually. Their 0-0 cashback offer really is the staple of their promotional value. They also run a double delight offer on the first Goalscorer market as well. This is where if your selection on a match scores in the first 20 minutes then they will double your payout, which is great. There is runner up refunds running on selection horse races and they will roll out a competition here and there to give you the chance to pick up a win bonus.

In-play betting 6/10

live in-play betting

There is in-play betting at Smart Live Sports which is accessible from the top menu. It is your standard fare, a long list of current event and there is clear indications of price chances because you will see big flashing blocks of either red or green, depending on which way the market is going. You’ll also see when a goal goes in or a point is won on a tennis match. There is good coverage throughout their live betting and you can see how many different bet types there are for each live sporting event.

If you go into a specific event there is a nice graphic displaying the current action and some very basic stats to get your by. Then there is the list of markets beneath all of that. The market coverage in live in betting is solid enough and you can quickly switch between the different sports through the left hand menu. So all in all a solid performer without blowing anyone away.

Extras & features 6/10

Extras & features

A lot of the newer bookmakers struggle to come up with the same kind of impact as the established major player sint the industry do in terms of delivery extra features. This is because they can be costly to operate. Smart Live Sports do offer a very good virtual sports service which is well worth going and having a look at and one that stood out for us on the site was their betting slip. It is very user friendly and one of the quicker ones we found to use operational-wise. You can flick between multis, systems and the usual single bets and it’s a very tidy slip.

Be aware that all the casino product is right there on the site as well, and we did find it a little slow to switch between the casino and the sportsbook if you happen to click a wrong link. There is not a lot of other features running around and we found that directly from the sportsbook there is a lack of statistics to help you out with your betting decisions, which was a big niggle. It’s nice to just be able to click a link right there on a match and see some stats like head to head and form just to help you along.

You are lacking some major features such as the increasingly popular cash out feature and live streaming as well. You can’t help by wonder whether or not some of the features missing from the sportsbook are because they are more focused on the casino.

Smart Live Sports payment options - deposit and withdrawal methods 7/10

Smart Live Sports payment options

They do deliver well in terms of options to bring in funds to your account. As with any bookmaker just take a second to assess any attached fees and processing time, which will invariably change between the different methods. Also, on promotions, check that your funding source qualifies for a promotion too.

Deposit Methods Include: Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Visa Electron, Delta, Bank Transfer, Click2Pay, EntroPay, iDeal, Neteller, Poli, UKash
Withdrawal Methods Include: Visa, Bank Transfer, EntroPay, Neteller, Skrill, Click2Pay, Giropay

User-friendliness of website & mobile app / mobile version 6/10

User-friendliness of website & mobile app

There is amiable version of the site and you go and click on the site and immediately you see heavy pushes towards the casino. The sportsbook does go over on the mobile, but there is no app, the only apps available are for the casino. Overall the main website of Smart Live Gaming is easy enough to get around, it’s functional and it does its job. The design is very similar to a lot of a other bookmakers out there that you will have seen time and time again. There’s nothing here to make them stand out or different.

Smart Live Sports Customer Service & Support, Security & Reliability 7/10

Smart Live Sports Customer Service

The customer support and help link sits right beneath your betting slip, which we found to be a nice touch as it is easily accessible. Their help section on the site does mainly consist of betting rules really and doesn’t give you any contact information. The link for that is at the bottom of the very site and support wise there is email support at support@smartlivecasino.com, a live chat support and a phase service which runs from 8am through to 7pm GMT and the number is 0800 2798 510.

Overall / Conclusion : 6 / 10

Smart Live Sports review

The lack of a real welcome bonus will be a big downer for any potential new customers who are thinking of sign up with them, and that is a very unusual thing to not see one in place. That’s a let down from the start and the more that you do start poking around the sportsbook, the more you will see key features missing which is a dippointenmtn as well. They are heavily casino based and that’s telling in the sportsbook service.
