  • Outstanding In-Play betting service.
  • Superbly competitive pre-match and in-play football odds

Online-Betting Rating:

Our Unibet review studies one of the largest online betting operators in Europe. They are a bookmaker with some of the best value football odds available for both pre-match and in-play.

To help punters gauge what the experience is like, our betting experts will take a look at the individual areas. Including customer support, the registration process, bonuses and more.

Unibet provides more than two decades of experience in online technology and security. Because of that, they can offer a very high-quality product and currently boast over 14 million customers from over 100 countries.

Registration Process – 5/5

For the first part of this Unibet review, we examine the steps to register an account. Registration can be completed through the Unibet website or through their mobile app.

To begin the process, select the yellow Register button, which will bring up a pop-up box. There are only two pages of information needed for a Unibet sign-up.

The first of those will ask you to put in personal details like your name and date of birth. These need to match your verification ID. A valid email and the creation of a good strong password will also be needed.

The second page of the Unibet registration needs you to verify a couple of pieces of information. That’s your mailing address (which can be done by a quick postcode search) and a telephone number.

Communication preferences can also be set on the screen, and those can always be altered at a later date if need be.

Those are the easy steps needed to get set up with an account at Unibet. It’s a quick and very easy process to go through.

Once it’s done, and you have logged into your account, before you can start wagering you will need to make a payment to the account.

We explore payment options in the next section of this Unibet review.

There is a good variety of payment methods at Unibet. That includes popular payment platforms like Apple Pay and PayPal alongside more standard options like debit cards and bank transfers.

Note that for Unibet bonuses, there may be deposit restrictions involved so always read the T&Cs first.

Unibet for their part do not charge any fees for making a deposit or a withdrawal. It’s all very straightforward and the processes can be handled through your account after login.

Unibet Welcome Bonus – 4/5

The Unibet Welcome Offer gives punters quite a bit and it’s a package that combines free bets for football betting, and a Casino boost.

Open the account, make a qualifying deposit and then place a minimum £10 bet on football at odds of even money (minimum). The free bets will be credited once that initial qualifying bet is settled.

In total the Unibet welcome bonus credits £40 but if you are only there for the football betting, then it is realistically £30.

So that’s something to take into consideration. Still if you look at it another way, gaining a bonus x3 bigger than the initial stake to trigger it, that’s not a bad return at all.

Granted it’s not as big as something like the BetVictor bonus, but still, it’s a good solid bonus.

BetVictor Offer: 18+ New customers only. Opt in, bet £20 at odds of 2.00+ within 7 days of registering, no cash out. Get 4x £10 Free Bets, set events at odds 2.00+. Plus a £10 Slot Bonus, selected games, wager 20x to withdraw max £250. Plus 50 Free Spins. Bonuses & Free Spins expire in 7 days. Card payments only. T&Cs apply. begambleaware.org | Please gamble responsibly

Note that the free bets collected through the Unibet signup bonus are only valid for making football bets. They will be active for only seven days once you have received them in your account, so if they are not used by then, they will expire.

Website Layout – 4/5

Something that has always been a big feature of Unibet is their well-designed website and apps. Unibet’s award-winning site has a layout that is clean and leads to a better experience.

You can see odds clearly with prices listed inside green boxes. That helps to get the selected quote into your betting slip quickly.

The Unibet menu is well spaced out so you can see sports easily and there are quick links to the popular menu items, including things like Matchday Specials and Enhanced Accas.

When you land on the homepage you will see blocks for both ongoing and upcoming sports. A click on the Premier League menu lists, not just the immediate forthcoming fixtures, but more from future dates. It is all remarkably well laid out, giving the sportsbook a very practical and comfortable feel.

Unibet also has a dedicated betting app which is available to users both on Android and iOS. There are links to the Unibet mobile betting apps on their site.

In our opinion, it is worth downloading because it gives good, secure access to those many football betting markets.

In looking at things for our Unibet app review, we found you can get notifications and enjoy all the live in-play betting action.

The app is really easy to navigate and very responsive. We liked how easy it was to switch from one market to another.

All round, the Unibet app has a great user experience, is quick and provides everything you need.

Rating 4/5

Odds - 5/5

Odds

The Unibet odds are very competitive. It’s always worth looking at odds comparison to really see the kind of value you’re getting. The football bookmaker margins are very good with Unibet, particularly for the Premier League.

They’re competitively strong against the likes of bet365, William Hill and Ladbrokes who are other noteworthy bookmakers for football odds.

If you go to the promotions page at Unibet then it is possible to find things like boosts. These can make selections even stronger in terms of odds. Examples of enhanced odds can also be found running through their football markets.

Rating 5/5

Markets & Events Coverage - 5/5

Markets

Another positive is their market variety. Unibet provides coverage of all the usual markets for football, with the sportsbook populated with selections from competitions from right around the world.

There are also plenty of Bet Builder picks along with Match Multis.

A Bet Builder allows punters to create unique bets, while Match Multis are pre-set wagers created by Unibet, such as Full Time Arsenal & Total Goals Under 4.5.

Half Time bets, 3-way handicaps, Asian Lines and Match Event market options like To Win To Nil or To Win Both Halves are available.

Another very good touch about the Unibet markets is that there are great stats available for individual matches.

Rating 5/5

Unibet Football Offerings - 5/5

Football

When visiting the Unibet football section it’s immediately clear just how good the coverage is.

A really nice touch about the layout in the football section of the sportsbook is that the user is not just presented with a match outright. The default setting at Unibet for a football match listing is seeing both the match outright and goals totals for the game.

They are both listed in separate columns and the second column on the coupon can be changed to display other markets like Both Teams To Score, Draw No Bet and Asian Handicap. We like that versatility to be able to make quick picks.

What that means is that you can look at an entire coupon, say for the Premier League and see an alternative market applied to the whole list of fixtures. That could be a little bit of a time saver when looking for a bet because the player wouldn’t have to dip into the individual match to get to a particular market.

What about the variety of markets? Unibet has always been a strong performer when it comes to a variety of football bets.

The big games, the big focus of the sportsbook, easily have over 100 markets available pre-match. In-play football betting at Unibet brings even more betting options to the table for punters.

The in-play football at Unibet is backed up by a great interface which has a good graphical interface with match stats.

In-Play football markets are raised on the main screen. You get a listing of matches happening with the match outright odds and you can click on that match to get more markets.

There are cool little graphics to represent the action in the game along with a text commentary of all the important stuff. There is a link on each game to go to further stats as well. The stats support in their live in-play betting is superb.

There is a very good variety of live bets available with Unibet, with generally above 75 in-play betting options on a big football match. That includes options like goals total, match outrights, Asian handicaps and goalscorer markets.

Another good area of the football betting at Unibet was their specials section, exploring unique things at the time such as a Female Manager in England’s Men’s Premier League and there were a lot of player transfer markets available as well, even mid-season.

Football betting coverage is comprehensive, but everything is laid out so well. The organisation of being able to jump around markets, be it through the main menu or live betting home page provides a great platform for it all.

Rating 5/5

Streaming – 4/5

You can watch and bet live at Unibet with their live-streaming feature, which is available in the mobile betting app too. It’s a highly-rated streaming platform, which runs smoothly and it integrates betting options into the screen.

You can bet while not leaving the live-streaming screen. There is live football streams from selected leagues available. One of the biggest that UnibetTV covers is Spain’s La Liga.

Other streaming sports that Unibet provide for their customers include basketball, American Football and horse racing from the UK & Ireland. To watch live streams at Unibet, you need to either have a funded account or have placed a bet within the previous 24 hours of the broadcast starting.

Note that streams are subject to a delay, which is usually no more than 10 seconds. That’s very similar to live TV broadcasts.

Existing Customer Offers - 3.5/5

Unibet is an excellent provider of offers for existing customers. They deliver price boosts which run right throughout their sportsbook. Plus Unibet have money back specials pop up, and they run competitions and a rewards club.

Customer Service And Site Security - 4/5

Customer Service

The Unibet help section is organised very well, so you can probably find answers there to questions without needing their support. The link to the Help section at Unibet is on the main top menu.

The help section is nicely broken down into sections. It is easy to get to the information that you need. We found the information clear and concise. They also host the Unibet Community where punters can come together to share info.

If you need to make contact with them, you can go through the Unibet live chat portal which has an average response time of 30 seconds. You can email them as well and the average response time is less than three hours.

The live chat option is the quickest way to get direct help from Unibet. You put in your name, email and question to get started. After you have logged in to the Unibet site then everything uses 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Technology.

All your payment information is encrypted and stored encrypted by Unibet on their systems.

What Do Other Sites Say?

Unibet brings plenty of experience to the table, and with such a huge customer base, they have been reviewed many times. It’s always useful to read reviews by actual customers to help paint a picture of the kind of service that you may get.

The CheekyPunter.com for example rates Unibet at 4/5 stars with a particular nod to their payments and variety of markets, saying that Unibet have “a really wide range of sports which rivals all the industries biggest players.”

Scams.com gives them a five out of five positive rating citing their “huge number of markets” and “lots of in-play betting” as particularly positive.

The reviews from Trustpilot however, weren’t quite as strong, delivering a real mix of positive and negative experiences, with little in-between.

Unibet Review Rating - 4.5/5

Overall

Unibet is one of the top providers out there and everything from the very basic functions through to their original features is just done well.

There is the feeling of quality in running throughout the entire website, from the market variety and odds strength through to the live in-play betting and live streams.

This is a high-quality operator, an award-winning one as well and they are worth considering as an online betting platform option. Unibet have been named the winner of the Operator of the Year Award before, and our experts enjoyed the features that were running through the site.

It just builds a very easy environment to be in and do your betting on. In our Unibet bookmaker review, a couple of the highlights are their live in-play betting and their mobile app.
