Heading up the market for this Fillies’ Handicap is WALIYAK from a current 6/4* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 18:41 GMT on Tuesday, 28th July 2020).

She put a good shift in as a juvenile and opened as a 3 year old in impressive fashion too.

Waliyak was last seen on her handicap debut on a return to action at Royal Ascot in the Sandringham Stakes.

That was runner up in a field of 15 and she has to bring some big claims here. Waliyak broke her maiden at Wolverhampton in November last year.

Can Nkiosikazi defy weight challenge?

There is no question about the form of NKOSIKAZI who has been bang on the money since returning to action. She has won her two outings this season.

The issue here for her is that she is at least 11lb up on the rest of the field here and that’s a big ask to defy.

Nkosikazi’s opening win this year happened in mid-June at Redcar and then she powered to an easy win at the Hoppings Fillies Stakes later in the month.

This has been the form of her life, but the questions will be over the mark.

Chamade can push on further

There are some 3 year olds in this field and CHAMADE is one for them and she goes from out at 11/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 18:41 GMT on Tuesday, 28th July 2020).

Chamade will be coming in for her handicap debut in this one and will head to Glorious Goodwood on the back of a third place finish at Newbury.

There was nothing wrong with that run whatsoever from 25/1 and she is starting to command more respect.

Lake Lucerne in with a shout

John Gosden’s LAKE LUCERNE is a 13/2 option in the field* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 18:41 GMT on Tuesday, 28th July 2020). She returned to action this year with a score in a novice run at Chelmsford.

She then headed to York for the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes in early July and was 5th of 6 in a Group 3 Class 1 contents. She couldn’t live with the quality at that level, but this looks to be far more manageable for her.

Can Ghaziyah impress on return?

GHAZIYAH has not been seen since last July. But she is a quality horse that punters need to keep under consideration for this contest.

She won a couple of times last year and her last run saw her take second place in a field of 14 at the British Ebf Premier Fillies’ Handicap at Newmarket in October.

DEAN STREET DOLL has been steady but not spectacular on her return to action this year. She looks as if she has a fair bit to try and find in this one and is up high in the weights.

BE MORE arrives at Glorious Goodwood on the back of a score at Sandown earlier this month. She is actually in very good form and for a three-time winner as a 3 year old, brings some nice each way claims.

GEETANJALI was below par on her last run which was at Redcar. That looked to be a step backwards after impressing on her return to action with a second place at Chelmsford. Needs to bounce back.
