This is a Grade 1 fixture at the Festival and it is a 2m 5f trip for those engaged in the contest to deal with.

There are seven declared runners for this year’s renewal of the popular race and heading up the market is BOB OLINGER.

Last year’s winner of the Ballymore was six-year-old ENVOI ALLEN from a 4/7 odds-on SP (D N Russell / G Elliott).

Bob Olinger the 11/8 FAV in Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle betting

There is quite a strong favourite lining up for the Ballymore and that is BOB OLINGER at 11/8* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

Where does that favouritism come from? Well, he finished last season in cracking fashion and he has taken that novice form forward.

On his latest run, he completed a double with a superbly convincing win of the Grade 1 Lawlor’s at Naas.

That was a victory he took by almost seven lengths over Blue Lord.

More progress is expected from the Henry de Bromhead six-year-old.

That’s back to back facile victories he has taken on his build-up to Cheltenham.

Bob Olinger looks to be the one to beat in Ballymore.

Can Gaillard Du Mesnil handle the extra speed?

There is nothing wrong with the form of GAILLARD DE MESNIL either as arrives in search of a hattrick.

He is another of the top prospects and from his three runs over the hurdles, this season, has looked progressively accomplished for Willie Mullins.

There was a Grade 1 win for Gaillard Du Mesnil last time out, getting a win at Leopardstown on a 2m 6f trip.

This is a tougher assignment for him as he faced more highly qualified and quicker opposition in Ballymore.

But as the 9/4 second-favourite in Ballymore Novices’ hurdle betting, Galliard Du Mesnil warrants a great deal of respect* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

Keskonrisk well worth a look in the Ballymore

There is plenty of appeal on KESKONRISK in this contest as well.

He produced a fantastic 2m effort at Christmas to take a third place to Appreciate It. That was a Grade 1 contest and an eye-catching run.

His yard wasn’t really in great form at the time either, so you have to wonder if there is more to come.

That loss at Leopardstown saw him lose his unbeaten streak but there is plenty of progress still to come from him.

The form of Keskonrisk has gone forward on each of his trips and he could be well underrated in this contest from a mark of 12/1* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

Bravemansgame seeks a four-timer

There’s no question about the form that BRAVEMANSGAME brings to the table as the former French operators has secured a hattrick.

It’s been stellar stuff from Paul Nicholls’ six year old and he looks for all the world to be a high-class prospect.

The hattrick completion happened for Bravemansgame at Newbury 78 days ago in the Grade 1 Challow.

Bravemansgame smashed the field there, winning by 10 lengths.

There is a clear threat from him coming into this one as he looks to land an even bigger prize in this one.,

At 4/1 he is our Ballymore Novices’ hurdle pick* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

Can Bear Ghylls stay undefeated?

Bringing unbeaten form to the table is BEAR GHYLLS after completing a hurdles hattrick in January at Exeter.

That’s four wins from four from the six-year-old and he can’t be underestimated in this challenge either.

Certainly not coming up on a trip.

Bear Ghylls has looked as if he is going to be benefited even more from taking on a couple of extra furlongs and punters will see a nice enough price on him.

He certainly looked better on going up to an extended two and a quarter miles last time a and Bear Grylls is a 16/1 quote in Ballymore Novices’ hurdle betting* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

Rest of the runners

DOES HE KNOW is a big 80/1 outsider for the Ballymore* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

He probably has way too much to find. There was a hattrick completion at course and distance in November.

But he then ran out at Newbury and was extremely poor on his handicap debut at Exeter last time out.

The same story can be said of OPTIMISE PRIME who looks well out of his depth here.

He did show some decent form in a third-place effort at Market Rasen in a listed effort three weeks ago. But this is such a big ask.

Predictions & Tips for Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle Betting Odds

We are going with the 12/1 odds on KESKONRISK who looks to be a little underestimated in the Ballymore Novices betting* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

With a yard more in form than it was when he was third at Leopardstown in December on his latest run and a stack of potential on his side, he can strike in this one.

BOB OLINGER is going to be a tough one to knock over and he looks as if he has plenty enough to get into the picture strongly at 11/8* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).

The final selection is the exciting GAILLARD DU MESNIL who looks like a cracking prospect and won very easily last time out.

He is the 9/4 second-favourite* (betting odds recorded at 06:15 GMT on March 16th, 2021 at Paddy Power).
