The opening act of Friday’s Cheltenham 2021 action features the Triumph Hurdle betting.

There should be a strong challenge on the cards from ZANAYIR on Friday. He has banked a win in each of his three efforts over the hurdles.

This Cheltenham Festival effort was always going to be his target after winning a Grade 2 Leopardstown juvenile over Christmas.

Zanahiyr is coming in hot on what will be his first run for his new yard. The tongue tie is also on for the first time.

He looked super sharp on his latest effort, even though his yard then wasn’t’ in form.

Tritonic a big threat in the Triumph Hurdle

Having performed so well as a juvenile, TRITONIC is likely to pose a few questions in this one.

Last month he was at Kempton and stole the show with an impressive victory.

Tritonic bolted up in the Adonis on his latest run, claiming that win by 10 lengths.

He is a very smart flat performer and has looked steady over the hurdles.

There is a lot more progress to come from the Alan King charge. His form possibly hasn’t been franked quite as much as that of Zanahiyr.

Quilixios with the potential to upset the odds

Another with an unbeaten record on the line in this cracking line up is QUILIXIOS. It was three wins from three for him for Gordon Elliott.

Quilixios will have his first run for Henry de Bromhead today and has the in-form Rachael Blackmore in the saddle as well.

Quilixios extended his unbeaten form with a win in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle last time out.

Behind him in that one, he had Boodles Handicap Hurdle second Saint Sam by more than five lengths.

That’s four runs for him and not a foot put wrong. There is some very stern opposition coming onto the scene in this one from him.

Each way claims for Adagio

There is a threat posed by ADAGIO as well who picked up a very good score under improvement last time out.

That was in the Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow. That victory followed a course and distance success over Historic Heart.

Haut En Couleurs looks to make a big splash

HAUT EN COULEURS made his hurdles debut in October and duly delivered a win in a big field of 17.

That was in a newcomers’ race at Auteuil. From there he has moved on to Willie Mullins.

So there should be a sizable chunk of improvement to come from him as well after that useful debut over the timbers.

That score was recorded by a short head and was at a 2m 2f trip, so he came down a little bit on the trip.

Rest Of The Runners

HISTORIC HEART has a little more experience over the hurdles than most in this one. He is making a big step up in the quality of the company in this one.

Historic Heart scored fantastic juvenile wins at Sedgefield and Wetherby on his switch to the timbers.

Historic Heart was in Listed company last time out when he produced a good effort to take second at Musselburgh. Not a forlorn hope at all.

TAX FOR MAX takes on his second hurdles run in this one. On his debut in this sphere, last time out he was runner up at Fairyhouse but looked very green in it. He was a bit all over the place and may need more time to sharpen up.

TALKING ABOUT YOU is another with more experience, and she completed a hattrick in a Listed race at Taunton in December.

The follow up to that saw her take second place at Doncaster. However, she looks as if she could be out of her depth a bit in this very tough assignment.

Predictions & Tips for Triumph Hurdle Betting Odds

This is a fantastic field, but we think that field can be narrowed down to the leading three in the market.
