Brando the 10/3 FAV in Doncaster Wentworth Stakes Racing Odds

The current market leader, but only narrowly is 10/3 shot BRANDO* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

He collected a second place finish on his last run, which was at Ascot in the Champions Sprint Stakes.

He found only GLEN SHIEL too good for him on the day. But that was a huge marker of form by Brando and we expect him to be fully in the frame.

It was only by a nose that he was beaten by at Ascot. This is a lower grade fixture so big things are expected of him.

AIR RAID

Dakota Gold carries a big threat

DAKOTA GOLD is sitting on a hattrick after having produced some great form. He has just come back into top form for the season following wins at York and Nottingham.

The victory at York was secured in a Group 3 fixture, before delivering in Listed company in his last race.

So he is absolutely thriving at the moment and looks to be really developing into a superb sprinter.

Dakota Gold is reliable as well, which will keep punters happy. The question mark over his chances in this one will be over the weight that he is carrying.

But regardless of being high, he still has a little advantage over the favourite. It should be a really tight battle between the two of them.

Dakota Gold is a 7/2 option* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

Ostilio also brings some top form

Another arriving in a great run of form is OSTILIO who has won his last two fixtures. He will be on show for the first time for his new handler Paul Midgely. On his latest effort, Ostilio collected a win at Redcar by more than two lengths.

The other victory that he collected this season happened at Haydock in a minor event. It is his return to form of late, showing a really good turn of speed that could put Ostilio in the frame in this one.

He is well worth consideration, but Ostilio needs a big, big run to get to the better of the other two main contenders.

Ostilio goes as a 6/1 option in Doncaster Wentworth Stakes racing odds* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

Can Gulliver follow up for a double?

Hitting top form once again on his last run was GULLIVER. After some disappointing form for the season, he came good last month.

That success came at York in a valuable handicap. That win came courtesy of Gulliver having pulled together a tremendous late charge to get to the line first.

If he is back anywhere near that kind of form for this one, then he he could feature from a 6/1 quote* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

If he’s in touch in the closing stages, he has enough about him to launch his bid.

Is Son Of Rest trending towards a big one?

Heading in the right direction with his form this season is SON OF REST. He won the Ayr Gold Cup in 2018 but has been lightly worked since then.

So it wil lbe interesting to see what he comes up with in this one from a quote of 9/1* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

He opened this season with a decent showing, but then showed a bit more of his ability in a follow up at the Curragh.

That latest run by Son Of Rest was over a 6f trip last month. He may well not have won for a couple of years but the form from him this season is on an upward curve and place claims are reasonable.

Others to note

ABERAMA GOLD picked up a win on his last effort. That was a course and distance handicap score as well from a mark of 3lb lower.

This is a much stiffer contest for him however, but he looks to be a nice bold runner in good heart.

AMARILLO STAR has come up with some good seasonal form twoo, having been in the frame in three of his four trips.

He got a score on his last run, delivering the goods on his handicap debut at Goodwood last month. This is a big step up however.

Another that is coming into the frame having won on his last effort is AIR RAID. He enjoys a trip through the softer ground so won’t mind the conditions on the weekend.

He was last seen at Haydock three weeks ago getting that win. There are reasonable place claims from him.

Predictions & Tips for TRACK Racing Odds

We see this as building down to a two-horse race and there is little to separate BRANDO and DAKOTA GOLD.

The latter has been coming on very well in this sphere, and he was looking as if he was really getting a grip over the fences at the end of last season.

We think that he has enough to battle and grind it out, because he is a tremendously spirited sprinter. So it is Dakota Gold at 7/2 in horse racing betting for us* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

We expect those to fill a couple of the places in the race.

While there are some decent claims around from the likes of GULLIVER AND OSTILIO we are going down the market a little bit to look at the each way quote of 16/1 on AIR RAID* (betting odds taken from Betway at 20:59 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2002).

He has a chance of coming into things in this one. That’s because of generally going well with a nice bit of cut in the ground.
