Rewaayat 4/1 FAV in Goodwood Stewards’ Sprint Handicap
REWAAYAT is sitting on the brink of scoring a hattrick and lines up for Saturday’s Goodwood opener as the 4/1 favourite* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 04:45 GMT on Friday, July 31st 2020).
It has been impressive stuff from him, those two wins both coming at 6f, the most recent at Salisbury three weeks ago. He’s developed into a very strong 5 year old now and has leading claims here.

TOMMY G landed this race in 2018 and then last year he went back for a defence and finished third.

He seems to enjoy this trip and he will be heading to Goodwood on the back of a very good effort at Ayr on his last run, which was over 7f.

There is some course and history for TREACHEROUS who nailed that success twelve months ago.

Treacherous was last seen winning at Haydock and in handicapping action on turf, it would not be a huge surprise to see him get close on Saturday.

In a run at Hamilton in a 6f trip he came home second. He is from the same yard as the 2018 winner, actually he is the half-brother of Tommy G.

Saluti to be respected
SALUTI made a bold showing on his last run. He scored a win at Pontefract 9 days ago and that came after some good solid efforts on return at Newmarket and Doncaster.

Other contenders
SECRETINTHEPARK has landed in second-place in his last two efforts. Those were both at 5f and he could have a say in this if he enjoys the trip back up. Secretinthepark was a three-time winner last season.
MAY REMAIN is another to potentially keep on side in this very competitive-looking race. He is another with form. May Remain actually won at Goodwood as a 2 year old. He scored on his last trip, a 5f Sandown effort and he’d been trending towards that.

Another that looks appealing for this contest is TREACHEROUS as he has hit top stride recently and poses a threat.
