Win O’clock 9/2 FAV for Goodwood Handicap Racing Odds

It is only narrow favouritism at the head of the market that WIN O’CLOCK has at the moment at 9/2* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 20:12 GMT on Tuesday 28th July 2020). There are others breathing down his neck.

There have been two wins in his last three runs so the form is there for him and Win O’clock claims 3lb for jockey Thomas Greatrex. Overall Win O’clock has found a new lease of life under handicapping terms.

His most recent win happened at Leicester three weeks ago and even though he is coming back on an up trip now, he should be a big player in this contest.

He had plenty to spare last time out as well in getting his win.

GLENTIES
6/1

Ladbrokes

Carlos Felix should enjoy the trip

CARLOS FELIX is at 5/1 in the market and a big contender* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 20:12 GMT on Tuesday 28th July 2020). That is based on his score at Ascot.

He really went well on that 12f trip 18 days ago (4 runners) and the most notable thing about it was that he really looked comfortable going up to that distance.

Granted he faces stiff opposition in this contest, but has every change of getting into the mix at the business end.

A Star Above shining bright at the moment

With back to back wins under his belt, A STAR ABOVE is in ripe form currently. That’s be recognised with him sitting at 15/2 in the market* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 20:12 GMT on Tuesday 28th July 2020).

Those two successes have been on his return to action and he looks to be improving rapidly with each race.

His last win was at Leicester three weeks ago on what was his handicap debut. He could have more to offer and is low on the weight.

Glenties looks for further progress

Bringing some good recent form to the table is GLENTIES who warrants a stick of respect in this contest. Sixteen days he scored at Windsor, getting him off the mark for his career.

He should have a lot more to offer based on that and looks a smart prospect.

He’s one to watch from 6/1* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 20:12 GMT on Tuesday 28th July 2020) and has been over course and distance before.

Mambo Nights adds further claims

This is a wide open contest with claims going deep down the field. MAMBO NIGHTS is another who has been shaping well in efforts recently. He has scored on both runs since his return.

He started coming on very well as a 2 year old and has confirmed his promise as a 3 year old already. His latest score was at Ripon 3 weeks ago and he just controlled things easily there.

Will need to find more in this company but he may be up to the task after proving himself at distance.

Others to note

ENCIPHER makes just his fifth racetrack appearance. He took on the Group 2 Dante and while he only took a 5th there, it wasn’t the worst effort in the world. Under handicapping terms he could be one to watch.

SARVAN got off the mark on his last run and will be making his handicap debut as well. That success was three weeks ago at Pontefract and he was pretty game and bold in that contest.

DAMAGE CONTROL may find this effort more to his liking than he did on his last effort which was a Group 3 Newmarket trip. He had just gotten off the mark in his previous race and was pushed on too far too soon perhaps.

Predictions & Tips for Goodwood Handicap Racing Odds

There are plenty on offer with claims in this one. Because of what WIN O’CLOCK had in hand on his recent score at Leicester three weeks ago, we just have to side with him as an obvious pick.

The next one is the very promising GLENTIES who could have a lot more to offer and looks a very exciting prospect.

Our third and final pick based on having delivered at distance and looking comfortable for it, is MAMBO NIGHTS who brings excellent form to proceedings.
