Method 5/6 FAV in Rose Bowl Stakes Odds

Oisin Murphy will be in the saddle for METHOD who is the 5/6 favourite in Rose Bowl Stakes odds* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:39 GMT on Friday 17th July).

Method scored a debut win at Doncaster three weeks ago.

More improvement is expected of course on the back of that and the son of Mehmas looks to have stacks of potential.

Method powered to the finish at Doncaster and brings big claims. Jockey Murphy won this race last year on Shadn.

Imperial Yellow a threat to Method?

IMPERIAL YELLOW got off the mark on his second racetrack appearance. That was at Yarmouth at the end of June over a 6f trip.

That was a comfortable win as well there by a mile and a quarter.

He did slow towards the end however, but looks the main threat to the favourite Method.

Imperial Yellow is the 9/2 second favourite* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:39 GMT on Friday 17th July).

Mighty Gurkha can mount a challenge

MIGHTY GURKHA scored on his debut at Lingfield in a maiden effort at the start of June.

Later in the month he claimed a fifth placed finish at Ascot in the Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed).

That was a race won by Tactical and Mighty Gurkha travelled well in the contest, showing some further promise and he is at 6/1 for Rose Bowl Stakes odds* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:39 GMT on Friday 17th July).

Can Bowman give a give account?

The most experienced runner in this field in terms of racetrack appearances is BOWMAN. He is on a hattrick.

Bowman only had an average start of things, claiming a third place finish on his debut at Lingfield, before following up with an 8th of 9 at Pontefract.

But he has really gotten things together better lately, scoring back to back wins at Redcar and Lingfield, both at 6f trips.

Seems to be fully settled down to business now and is an 11/1 option for Rose Bowl Stakes odds* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:39 GMT on Friday 17th July).

Rest of the runners

FOUNTAIN CROSS scored on his second racetrack appearances. That built on what was a decent debut. But then he seemed to take a bit of a step backwards with a poor effort at Salisbury.

KRAKEN POWER put in a good showing on his debut claiming a second place finish. He too built on that promising start as he scored at Hamilton in June on his last effort.

TANFANTIC looks to have plenty of pace about him and that showed on a debut win. He also showed fairly well in a Listed effort when he appeared at Sandown, claiming fourth. There’s some outsider claims there.

MERE GREEN claimed only a fifth place finish on her debut. That was out at Newmarket and never looked like getting into the picture. This is a big step in grade now for her to tackle.
