Mister Fisher could be the way to go in competitive Ryanair

Min the 9/2 FAV for Ryanair Chase Betting

Last year’s Ryanair winner MIN is back for a defence* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports). He is a quote of 9/2 to follow up on last year’s success.

The Willie Mullins’ 10 year old will need a bounce back performance as he hits Cheltenham once again. He was a bit poor on his last run.

That was in the Dublin Chase last month where Min finished well down the field. He is a top chaser of course and showed that on his reappearance.

It was a second place in the John Durkan on his first run of the season. But how will punters react to that poor run at Leopardstown in a Grade 1 chase won easily by Chacun Pour Soi last month?

Questions have to be there. We don’t think that Min is going to be far away from a defence if he turns up in good spirits.

But he is most certainly not unopposable in a competitive fixture.

10/1

Can Allaho shine in competitive Ryanair?

Supporters of ALLAHO will have been delighted to have seen him get a score on his latest run, the first of the campaign.

That happened in a grade 2 at Thurles and that will send him to Cheltenham with a bit of renewed hope. This is another of Willie Mullins’ charges in this field.

The tongue strap is on Allaho for the first time, and he is unexposed over the 2m 4f trip.

Allaho has placed in his last two visits to the Cheltenham Festival so has a nice bit of course form there.

That Thurles win was at this same distance so it’s not going to be a problem for him.

He was under more aggressive tactics there for the first time and they paid off. Will he take the same approach?

Allaho piques some interest at 6/1 in what really is a wide open Ryanair Chase betting market* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

Can Melon improve at Cheltenham?

Next for Ryanair Chase betting odds we are going to have a look at MELON who is an 11/2 quote* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

He has had to settle for second place on each of his last four runs at the Cheltenham Festival. That’s highly frustrating for supporters.

But with Bryan Cooper taking the saddle, Melon has a reasonable chance of scoring in this one. He certainly brings the course consistency to the table.

He is a high class chaser and will have been geared up towards this by trainer Willie Mullins.

There was a good third from him at Leopardstown over Christmas in the Savills Chase.

Hee went back there for his latest effort and was last of five in the Irish Gold Cup.

But we can look past some of this because he seems to thrive when he steps onto the track at Cheltenham.

Melon does have reasonable place claims behind him in this contest, so he could well be one to keep on side.

Imperial Aura warrants consideration

There has been excellent form this season from IMPERIAL AURA. Let’s not forget that he won at last year’s Festival as well.

He is still in a very progressive mood for Kim Bailey.

Imperial Aura kicked off the season by completing a double with an excellent win at an Ascot Grade 2 contest in November. So he has been in fine nick so far.

Imperial Aurora did unseat his rider at Kempton on his only run since getting that win at Ascot. But that can be excused, because he is a very good jumper.

It’s not worth deserting him on the back of that and is still heading in the right direction with those wins at Carlisle and Ascot under his belt this season.

Imperial Aura has enough to enter calculations quite strongly we feel 15/2 in Ryanair Chase betting* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

Mister Fisher can make his presence felt

Another in this competitive field that has enough to pull out a win is MISTER FISHER. He looks right on track for a big run at Cheltenham.

He was a very smart novice last season and after failing to complete on his reappearance run, he stepped it up to expected levels on a follow up.

Mister Fisher scrapped and worked so hard to pull out a brave win in the Peterborough Chase here over a 2m 4f trip in December.

That was by almost two lengths over Kalashnikov.

There is plenty of interest there as an 8/1 selection in Ryan Chase betting* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

Can Fakir D’oudairies have a say in this?

Trading well at the moment in Ryanair Chase betting is FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES who was second on his latest run which was in the Dublin Chase.

That was easily the best effort from him this season (three runs) after finishing 8 length back of Chacun Pour Soir at Leopardstown.

No disgrace that result there and Fakir D’oudairies has a good record here at Cheltenham, winning one of three previous visits to the venue.

He is a very good chaser and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him have some kind of say in this.

Rest of the runners

CHRIS’S DREAM is a highly rated chaser and has won before after a break. This just looks a little bit out of his scope and he had a poor run in December in the John Durkan. Others appeal more.

DASHEL DRASHER is bang in form having completed a hattrick with a 2l success at the Betfair Chase. He is thriving right now, but needs another big chunk of progress to handle this level.

FANION D’ESTRUVAL has taken back to back fourth place finishes in his latest form. His form doesn’t look sharp enough to compete here and was well below par last time out.

KALASHNIIOKV gets the tongue tie for the first time and the headgear is back on as well. He has been running well in defeat but has been missing that winning touch. Place claims at best are there.

REAL STEEL pulled up in the King Goerge on his one run since a third place at Ascot in a Grade 2 reappearance. Hard to make the strongest claims for.

SAMCRO won last year’s Marsh Novices’ at the Festival and is another of the top chasers in this field. Supporters would have hoped for better pre-Festival form though as he was really poor in the Savills Chase last time out.

TORNADO FLYER has not really made enough of an impact this season to draw big appeal. He was fourth in the Dublin Chase last time out, never looking like a threat.

Predictions & Tips for Ryanair Chase Betting Odds

This is a fantastic line up because we feel that Ryanair betting is just wide open.

MIN would naturally have some appeal if he is able to bounce back in top nick after a below par last run.

The 9/2 favourite is likely to scrap for the places* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

So we think it’s worth taking on last year’s winner. We think IMPERIAL AURA has shown enough to make his strong presence felt in this contest as he’s usually a very reliable jumper.

There was excellent progress from him at Ascot in November and makes a 15/2 option* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).

Much in the same vein we can’t write off MISTER FISHER either who showed so very well as a novice last season.

A course win here in December at the Peterborough Chase brings home apparel.

He’s heading in the right direction and looks good value at 10/1* (betting odds recorded at 20:32 GMT on March 17th, 2021 at Boylesports).
