Another of the big races from Aintree on Saturday is the Many Clouds Chase which is a 3m 1f trip around the National course.
This is a race that features 4 year olds and above and it is a big Grade 2 feature.

Santini the 6/4 favourite for Many Clouds Chase
There is a clear market leader here for hors ring betting. That is SANTINI at 6/4* (betting odds correct as of 16:28 GMT on Friday, December 24th from William Hill).
He is a brilliant chaser and he signed off last season by throwing down a great challenge at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Santini was second in the fixture, a really gutsy effort from him. It followed two wins from two for that season before hitting the Festival.
So he has come back fresh before and done brilliantly, so the absence since March won’t be an issue.
He will probably be targeting a return to the Gold Cup next year, so it will be interesting to see how Santini handles what could be a really sharp run at this trip.
Native River back for another crack
Last year’s winner NATIVE RIVER is looking for another win in this fixture.

The 2018 Gold Cup winner really bolted up in last year’s renewal of the Many Clouds Chase. That was on a reappearance run from him as well.
He followed that up with another win, taking the Denman Chase at Newbury. So that’s a 10 month break that he has been on, but he is good enough to shrug that off.
Native River generally goes well fresh, he will need all of that class he possesses as he makes another assault on this race. He can’t be dismissed.
Frodon looks a lively contender
Cheltenham favorite FRODON is looking like a player in this one. He shrugged off a mark of 164 to score at Cheltenham in October on what was his reappearance run.
Bryony Frost was in the staddle for that one and she stays on the ride.
He is arguably the best jumper in the field here and if he gets it right Frodon will be in the frame.
That returning win at Cheltenham was so impressive in Ovtober, getting the better of West Approach, that he has to be on the radar as well for horse racing betting.
It is a brilliant strike rate of almost 50% from Frodon in this sphere.
The 8 year old was only fourth in the Ryanair at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, outlooks to be potentially in a thriving mood at the moment.

Lake View Lad faces a stiff test
This will be the repparnace run for LAKE VIEW LAD on Saturday as he entered the tough Many Clouds Chase field.
He is a decent enough chaser to be fair, but we don’t see him beating some top class opposition.
He signed off last season with back to back third place finishes , the most recent of which was in January.
Lake View Lad is generally thereabouts with place claims in top races, but the win here, especially having come up in grade after a 10 month break, looks beyond him.

Keeper Hill the big outsider
KEEPER HILL has had a couple of runs this season. He has finished fourth in both of them.
He has never looked like the cleanest of jumpers and that is going to put him on the backburner for this contest.
Keeper Hill is dropping in grade after going in the Betfair Chase last time out, where he was heavily outclassed.

Well, we don’t see very much at all to split the big three in this one.
We just have to shade it for last season’s Gold Cup runner up SANTINI at 6/4* (betting odds correct as of 16:28 GMT on Friday, December 24th from William Hill).
We can’t wait to see him take on NATIVE RIVER. But Santini just looks exceptional and the bravery he showed in the Gold Cup was admirable.
We see enough from him coming back fresh to beat last year’s winner.
We would have to keep Native River on side as well and because we don’t see either outsider having enough, that means FRODON has to be considered.
The way that he returned to throw off a high mark to score at Cheltenham recently gives him a chance.
