FAV in Ultima Handicap Chase Racing Odds

The current race favourite in Ultima Handicap Chase odds is FLOUEUR at 8/1* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).

There was a third-place finish for Floueur in the Martin Pipe at last year’s Festival.

He got off the mark in chasing on his penultimate run, which was at Fairyhouse.

Floueur put in a very credible third-place effort in a Punchestown handicap on his latest run, finishing behind Death Duty who also goes in this.

He’s progressing well and should be a player.

This is a fantastic wide-open fixture though and looking at the list of main contenders in the Ultima Handicap Chase odds, the claims in the race run very deep.

OUR POWER has put himself into the picture and is an interesting 14/1 pick* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).

Nothing went his way in a strong 3m Kempton fixture a couple of weeks ago, but Our Power finished superbly to take a third-place finish.

GERICAULT ROQUE has been in the frame in all four runs this season, as he still waits to get off the mark over the fences.

He was last seen at the Classic Chase around Warwick 8 weeks ago. The break may serve him well and goes from a yard that has a good record in this.

CORACH RAMBLER lost his jockey in an Ascot Grade 2 on his latest, just as he was warming up well in the contest.

He can’t be written off with a couple of novice handicap wins at this distance recorded for the season.

DOES HE KNOW is another of the big players here with three wins in his last four and has proven stamina.

With a stack of Cheltenham experience behind him as well, and banking a Grade 2 at Ascot last time out, he should feature strongly.

Last 10 Ultima Handicap Chase Winners at the Cheltenham Festival

TEA CLIPPER opened the season with a victory at Chepstow in October but was unable to back that up in two subsequent runs.

He moves into handicapping following a wind op and also gets the cheekpieces for the first time. Tea Clipper was in the Coral Cup at last year’s Festival and took third in that.

If you pick out the best form from DEATH DUTY then he could have a say.

He looks to be on a good mark and picked up a win in a Punchestown handicap four weeks ago and looked really lively in it.

KILTEALY BRIGGS is worth a look with two wins in his last three. Those were in small fields and both novice contests. He will need more but should relish the test regardless.

FULL BACK is another to consider for the shortlist as he picked up at Cheltenham handicap victory (New Course) on his penultimate run.

He followed up with a good runner up spot at Taunton 7 weeks ago. Full Back could have a big run in him.

BEN DUNDEE also looks like being a big player after going very close at Leopardstown in December at the Paddy Power.

Ultima Handicap Chase Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

We reach the Ultima Handicap Chase tips part of this 2022 preview. The first to get on the shortlist is CORACH RAMBLER at 11/1* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).

He looks very well treated on the pick of his form and was running in very good shape before losing his jockey last time out.

OUR POWER looks like a fascinating entry into this field.

He easily caught the eye in a rich Kempton effort at 3m last time out and could be a player from 14/1* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).

DOES HE KNOW at 10/1 is another strong option* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).

He is thriving right now and has been thrown into some really testing challenges this season and he’s handled them well.

The final selection for the shortlist in this big Ultima Handicap Chase field is FULL BACK from 16/1* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at Bet365).
