Thunder Moon heads the Dewhurst Stakes odds

Well it is THUNDER MOON who is the current 5/2 market leader for this big action* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020).

This will be just the third time he has run, but he scored an impressive score in his opening two. He made a strong impression on his debut.

When he next went to the National Stakes at the Curragh following that, he looked astonishingly good.

Thunder Moon faced some challenges in that fixture, but once he was clear he had a turn of foot that no-one could handle.

He looked composed, no sign of greenness anywhere and even in this strong Dehurst, hne looked to be the one to beat.

THUNDER MOON
5/2

Chindit poses a threat in the Dewhurst

CHINDIT will head to the Dewhust with plenty of backing for Saturday’s run.

It has been three wins from three runs from him and he is a current 11/4 option* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020).

The soft conditions may not be to his best liking. However, he is progressing at the rate of knots. On his last tip he took the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.

It was a victory by a length over Alkumait that Chindit recorded there.

It was a highly impressive run to secure his hat-trick and the Richard Hannon-trained colt should have plenty more progress in him as well.

If he handles the track, then he should find himself getting close to a four-timer.

Cadillac can impression his first top-level run

Coming up to Group 1 action for the first time is CADILLAC. He actually looks ready to put something very strong together.

He got straight off the mark on his debut at leopardstown. Trainer Jessica Harrtington has a super smart colt on her hands here.

He was back at Leopardstown for his most recent run and delivered a win at the CHampions Juvenile Stakes.

He is another that brings some serious claims. Cadillac has been well watched in the market at 8/1* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020).

Can Alkumait land a hattrick?

Another with some good claims in a super hot Dewhurst Stakes, is ALKUMAIT. It was a promising debut that he had, but then he kicked on. He has won his last two.

The most recent of those was at Newbury in September when he claimed the Mill Reef Stakes.

He did so in impressive fashion as well, keeping Fivethousandtoone behind him by almost a length.

Alkumait is at 17/2 to secure the hattrick* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020).

Wembley another with strong form

WEMBLEY has consistency in his game having been in the frame in each of his five runs. Ryan Moore is booked for the ride on Saturday, so he is a threat.

He was second to Thunder Moon on his last effort at the National Stakes, a run that is not to be dismissed at all.

Following that Curragh run though, the question will be whether or not he can turn the tables on his rivals.

This is a stiffer ask, but with form, place claims are there as well from 10/1* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020).

Others to note

ETONIAN looks to have plenty of progress left in him. This is his third appearance and he has scored in his opening two.

On his last run, Etonian got the better of King Vega in the Solario Stakes at Sandown. He’s a decent enough prospect to warrant a look.

FIVETHOUSANDTOONE is another that could potentially feature as well. He got off the mark at the second time of action.

Then he followed that up with a second place finish to Alkumauit at the Mill Reef at Newbury.

ST MARK’S BASILICA will be the other one to consider in this great race. He broke maiden at the third attempt, that happening at the Curragh in August.

He was last seen in the National Stakes, one and a half lengths back in third to winner Thunder Moon.

Predictions & Tips for Dewhurst Stakes Racing Odds

What a treat this is going to be. There are, quite frankly, claims all over the place in this one because it is a super strong field.

Right at the top THUNDER MOON has to be considered. He recorded that top-level win at the National Stakes and that’s a huge factor for support going forward at Newmarket on Saturday.

That was an excellent win, a faultless performance at the Curragh and he is obviously not going to be done progressing just yet.

Thunder Moon just has to shade it at 5/2* (betting odds taken from Betwy at 20:28 GMT on Friday, October 9th 2020)

CHINDIT is expected to be a big player as well as he looks to defend his unbeaten record. He was another impressive winner last time out when he got the Champagne Stakes. It’s likely that he will go close as well.

The other pick for us would be CADILLAC who could be quite the big player as he comes up to Group 1.

He looks very, very good and if he can push on from that Champions Juvenile Stakes success at Leopardstown, we see him rattling the crossbar.
