Others to note

DANNY WHIZZBANG claimed a Grade 2 win here at Newbury as a novice. He has fallen a long way since then but could be on an interesting mark with the visor on for the first time.

CANELO will need a career-best to really threaten in this one, but he won the Rowland Meyrick last December and has had a solid reappearance run under his belt.

REMASTERED is not one to underestimate because he was in fantastic heart as a novice chaser last season. He won three times in the sphere and took a recent third over the timbers at Aintree on his reappearance. Place claims are there.

CLOTH CAP is capable of a bold run. He improved drastically last season and was the winner of last year’s renewal of the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase. There was an encouraging 4th on his seasonal reappearance at Cheltenham a month ago. He’s no forlorn hope.

One final one to consider is BRAHMA BULL who is a decent Irish contender for this one. He’s a smart chaser and was third in a Grade 3 at Punchestown on his latest effort.
