Australis is still looking for a consistent winning touch on turf, but has a fair chance of getting one on the weekend.

Kaloor being fancied for a challenge

Last time out KALOOR took third place in a shorter effort at Sandown. But there was not a clear run for him in that field.

He shaped well though so looks to have the extra couple of furlongs in him to mount a challenge.

He is staying at the same mark as he was for that contest, and the horse that finished fourth just behind him, won at Goodwood recently.

Eddystone Rock to find his range?

There was plenty to enjoy about a third place finish for EDDYSTONE ROCK on his return this season. That was back in March. He then went away for a 102 break and returned to Ascot.

The going was way too much for him on the day at the Royal Meeting in the Copper Horse Handicap.

Holy Kingdom to be respected

There was a disappointing effort from HOLY KINGDOM last time out when he was well down the field at Newmarket. That saw him miss out on a hat-trick.

So he was in sharp form before that, but that step back onto turf at Class 2 he found too much. But he retains some interest here as that last effort can be excused.

Sleeping Lion can go well against at Ascot

SLEEPING LION has enjoyed previous visits to Ascot and seems to enjoy the track. Because of that he can bring some place claims to the table in this one.

On his last effort he claimed second place on a 16f trip at Newcastle.

Rest of the runners

ERNESTO has done absolutely nothing of note on his two runs for a new yard this season and suffers more because of top weight.

DIOCLETIAN is capable of a good bold run. He was in great shape at the end of last season and his latest 6th at Sandown can be excused. Place claims are there.

ISLAND BRAVE doesn’t look to have enough about him to score in a strong contest. He is a better all-weather performer and on his last run here was never in the frame.

CHARLIE D has form and the conditions will suit him well. He has scored in two of his last four runs, and a scratch at the all-weather in his last effort can be excused.

RED FORCE ONE is bottom weight and claims 3lb for jockey Megan Nicholls. On his last run in July He scored a class 2 handicap success in the Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen.

Predictions & Tips for Millennium Millionaire Handicap Odds

So this is a wide open contest and we don’t see it being all that straight forward for the favourite AUSTRALIS. The one thing that causes hesitation is lack of a strike rate on turf.

We think that HOLY KINGDOM is worth a shout here after posting back to back wins on his return to action this season. He had a very good 2019 and still looks to be progressing.

KALOOR retains a lot of interest as well over the trip. He stays at a very nice mark for this run which should put him into the frame. There was plenty of promise on his last run.
