15:15 Yorkshire Oaks Odds & Tips: Bet365 offer 4/9 on Love – 20th August 2020

Love to dominate the Yorkshire Oaks on Thursday?

Horse Racing Betting

The Yorkshire Oaks is the big fixture of Thursday’s action from York to look forward to, and it features the impressive LOVE at the head of the market.

This is a Fillies’ And Mares’ Group 1 Class 1 fixture for 3 year olds plus. There is only a small field for this one, but it is a high-quality one.

The trip is 1m 3 1/2f. Here is our Yorkshire Oaks Odds preview, a race which was won last year by the brilliant ENABLE.

Love the 4/9 FAV in Yorkshire Oaks Odds

The highly impressive LOVE is the current 4/9 favourite for the 2020 renewal of the Yorkshire Oaks* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020). It is pretty hard to find a chink her armour.

What an impressive return to action that Aiden O’Brien’s filly has had. She opened her account as a three year old by winning the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

It was then an astonishingly good run to smash her opposition in the Oaks at Epsom.

Love destroyed the field there by nine lengths, one of the best runs in UK Racing for some time.

It would not be any surprise to see her take things further and post a victory in this one as well. She is going to take some stopping to deny her a straight hattrick of high-class victories.

It would have been brilliant to have seen last year’s winner Enable oppose her in this contest, but that is not happening so it is Love’s race to lose in our eyes.

Franconia w/o Love
5/2

William Hill

Franconia looking set for a good run

FRANCONIA is starting to come into her own as well for trainer John Gosden. It has been back to back successes for her as a 3-year-old and should be the main threat for second place in this fixture.

Her recent score happened at Newbury in the Abingdon Fillies’ Stakes (Listed) and was followed up in similar condition at the Lyric Fillies’ Stakes in late July.

It’s been fantastic form from her and there is likely even more to come from her now she is stepping up in trip.

Franconia goes as an 8/1 option* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).

Frankly Darling to make a statement?

Also handled by John Gosden is FRANKLY DARLING whose disappointing performance in the Oaks can be excused. She never took to the difficult track there, but a switch to York is likely going to produce a smoother run.

It was third that Frankly Darling took in the Oaks, and she had scored in her two races before that this season.

The most impressive of those was how she delivered the win at the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot, producing a great late turn of speed.

She can get close to following Love home but is a big 11/1 shot to win outright* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).

One Voice to progress?

The last appearance that ONE VOICE had was at Goodwood in the Nassau Stakes. She was back close to top form in that one as she claimed a close second in the contest.

It’s been solid progress from her and the extra tip that is in question here, should be handled by her.

One Voice has the consistency in her, but it’s hard to see her pushing on the win but is respected at 9/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).

Manual De Vega on a hattrick

Seeking a hat trick of wins is MANUELA DE VEGA who got her last score at the Lancashire Oaks. That was a relatively easy win that she put on the board in that one as well.

The 4 year old is up against some brilliant 3 year olds in this fixture however as she jumps back up to Group 1 action for the first time since a loss by a short head in Germany last year to sign off for the season.

She is very consistent but is 12/1 to score* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).

Alpinista with too much to find?

ALPINISTA is one of three Frankel offspring in this race. She delivered a career-best in landing a Listed race at Salisbury over 10f last weekend.

There should be more to come from the Sir Mark Prescott trained filly, but is taking on extra distance against some extremely tough competition and it’s likely to be too much for the 28/1 outsider* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).

Predictions & Tips for Yorkshire Oaks Odds

We can’t look past LOVE to get the win in this contest even though she is the heavy odds-on favourite. She is going to take some beating on the evidence of what she has produced this season.

So we may as well just skip straight to the Without Love market for a bit of alternative value.

We fancy recent course winner FRANCONIA doing enough to follow the favourite home and would consider her as a good 5/2 option without Love* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 21:08 GMT on Wednesday, 19th August 2020).
