Supremacy the 8/11 FAV for Pavilion Stakes

The 8/11 favorite for the Pavilion Stakes racing odds is SUPREMACY* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

A victory in the Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket rounded off a brilliant juvenile campaign for Supremacy.

That success, which came by half a length over Lucky Vega, saw Supremacy land a hattrick.

There is a penalty for him to deal with as he comes into the Pavilions Stakes.

But he looked so special as a colt and that step up in class at Newmarket, confirmed how much potential that he has in him.

That wasn’t a weak Middle Park that he took in the autumn.

Supremacy concedes weight all round here but that may not be enough to slow him up. He could be head and shoulders above the field in this one.

Coral

Saint Lawrence the biggest threat to the favourite?

On his reappearance, SAINT LAWRENCE turned up in a strong Newbury handicap and gave a good account of himself.

He banked a second place finish in the contest and he was under some unfavourable weight in the fixture as well.

So based on that, he could be the chief threat to the favourite here in the Pavilion Stakes racing odds at 6/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

It will be interesting to see if it has that kind of form coming down on a trip. He’s an exciting one and definitely brings place claims to the table.

better to come from Jumby?

JUMBY has gotten his reappearance under his belt. Two weeks ago he was at Newmarket in handicap cation.

There was quite the promising third place finish that he produced in the fixture. That gives him plenty to build on for the season.

This trip in the Pavilion Stakes is a much bigger ask of course and we struggle to see him claiming the win.

But there are reasonable place claims as he lines up as an 11/2 shot* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

Will Rohann get it right on the turf?

ROHANN has been going well this season,. He has provided plenty of encouragement runs for connections on the all weather.

Will he be able to make progress on the turf and retain that kind of form?

He was last seen at Newmarket in a handicap, taking a fifth place finish there. He was caught too far back in the fixture to launch a challenge.

But it suggests that there could be something on offer from him away from the artificials.

Rohann has won four times between 6f and 7f in the all weather. He may have a sway in the places.

Mighty Gurkha brings interesting form

It has been a good start to the new campaign for MIGHTY GURKHA who is a 12/1 punt in Pavilion Stakes racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

He claimed a win on his return to action, and that was a Group 3 fixture on the all weather. He has been thriving on the artificial surface.

The latest of the runs for Mighty Gurkha was at Lingfield on Finals Day when they claimed a second of ten from a 5/1 SP. He was beaten by a couple of lengths there by Diligent Harry.

The rest of the runners

APOLLO ONE picks up a win on his reappearance run, improving again to get a score at Lingfield. He was fourth at Lingfield on his latest run, not seen to the best effect there on Finals Day. Apollo One did claim a couple of turf wins last year.

OO DE LALLY is going to have to find some in this one. He hasn’t really kicked on, despite claiming a hattrick in January. There hasn’t been the extra upward swing in his career since that one and a switch back to the grass isn’t likely to help.

SPYCATCHER won a Pontefract novice on his return to action. This is a jump back up to the Group 3 level for him. It looks as if he has a little too much to find in it. He was second in the Axomb at Your last term.

HALA HALA HALA makes her reappearance run here. She was second in a Group 3 course and distance effort last summer. But instead of kicking on from that, Hala Hala Hala went backwards. During her winter break she has had another wind op.

Predictions & Tips for TRACK Racing Odds

Clive Cox’s SUPREMACY has to be the way to go as a horse racing tip for Pavilion Stakes racing odds at 8/11* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

It’s not the most exciting pick, but we can’t see a way past him, not even giving weight to all of the other runners.

Supremacy is a highly rated individual and he can further push his career along with another win here. His latest one against some strong contenders in the Middle Park was eye-catching.

We think that there is something in this for MIGHTY GURKHA to have a run at a place finish and he is a nice 12/1 to make a splash there* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

The final selection for the shortlist would have to be SAINT LAWRENCE who performed well in a competitive Newbury handicap on his reappearance.
