Brewin'upastorm the one beat in Betway Aintree Hurdle on Thursday?

Horse Racing Betting

As part of Thursday’s big day of racing, we are taking a look at the Betway Aintree Hurdle betting odds.

This is one of the feature Grade 1 races from the opening day of the Grand National Festival at Aintree on Thursday.

This is a 2m 4f mid-distance trip for those involved and there are 11 declared runners for this year’s renewal.

At the head of the market for Betway Aintree Hurdle betting odds is JASON THE MILITANT.

But this looks like a very competitive renewal of the race with the likes of ABACADABRAS and MCFABULOUS.

Here we take a look at the latest Betway Aintree Hurdle betting odds for Thursday’s Festival feature.

Jason The Militant FAV for Betway Aintree Hurdle Betting

JASON THE MILITANT is the current 11/4 favourite for Betway Aintree Hurdle betting 2021* (odds recorded on April 7th, 2021 at 20:15 GMT at Betway).

He is looking for a double after picking up a win 40 days ago in a Grade 3 run at Fairyhouse. That was at the 2m distance.

He hasn’t been above that before, so it will be intriguing to see how he goes in terms of the extra bit of stamina that he needed.

If he has that staying in him, then Jason The Militant should have a strong hand in this race.

He swerved the Cheltenham Festival this year and should be sharp and fresh.

Brewin’upastorm
13/2

Can Abacadabras make a big impact again?

Back in November ABACADABRAS went up against Jason The Militant in the Morgiana Hurdle.

The former got the better of his rival in that contest and should be back ready for another strong duel.

There is a quote of 10/3 on Abacadabras in Betway Aintree Hurdle betting odds* (odds recorded on April 7th, 2021 at 20:15 GMT at Betway).

He didn’t get too far in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham on his last effort, falling at the third.

Abacadras is a very good, strong traveller and the flat around Aintree is likely to help his cause massively.

He has been in the mix in some strong contests this season, and in his penultimate race was second in the Irish Champion.

This will be the first time above the 2m trip for Abacadabras.

Brewin’upastorm not to be counted out

A move back to hurdling has brought the best out of BREWIN’UPASTORM. So Olly Murphy’s charge looks capable of a good strong effort.

It has been back to back wins for him, taking a Taunton handicap before following up with a score at Fontwell in the National Spirit.

This is the sphere where he is thriving and on that latest outing in February, he had Mcfabulous six lengths behind him at Fontwell.

Brewin’upastorm is going from strength to strength and there’s a lot to like about him.

He is a 13/2 contender in Betway Aintree Hurdle betting * (odds recorded on April 7th, 2021 at 20:15 GMT at Betway).

  • 2011 Oscar Whisky, 6 (N Henderson, B J Geraghty)
  • 2011 Khyber Kim, 8 (N Twiston-Davies, Paddy Brennan)

Will Mcfabulous dominate the Aintree track?

There is no way that MCFABULOUS can be written out of this contest as he looks for a bounce-back performance.

Paul Nicholls’ seven-year-old was second to Brewin’upastorm in the National Spirit on his latest run, which was just over a month ago.

Macfabulous was a bit below par in that one, never really getting to top gear. But it has been two wins in his four runs this year.

One of those was an impressive one in the Rakeel Hurdle at Kempton, with the other victory for the campaign happening at Chepstow.

He was giving weight to Brewin’upastorm in the recent Kempton contest and the revised marks gave Mcfabulous a very good fighting chance.

Is Song For Someone the way to go?

Down at the 10/1 quote for Betway Aintree Hurdle betting is SONG FOR SOMEONE* (odds recorded on April 7th, 2021 at 20:15 GMT at Betway).

But he goes for Nicky Henderson who has a good recent record in this one.

Song For Someone finely opened the season, landing back to back Grade 2 efforts and that is not to be overlooked or forgotten about.

On his latest run, he missed the chance of a hat-trick as he was a long way back from Goshen in the Kingwell.

But those scores at Cheltenham and Ascot certainly sees Song For Someone pique plenty of interest in horse racing betting.

He could be a little undervalued in the Betway Aintree Hurdle betting market.

Rest of the runners

BALLYANDY has been in the frame in all five starts this season, but he looks like he is missing a gear at the moment.

He didn’t go particularly well on his latest, taking a third-place finish at Haydock two and half months ago.

2017 winner BUVEUR D’AIR posted second place on his reappearance run. That was 75 days ago in the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock.

He needed that air in his lungs by the looks of it. The former Champion Hurdle winner does have place claims.

BUZZ has some potential still on his side but was fifth on his latest. That was the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury when he made a mistake. His jumping needs a little bit more, but he does look like a useful hurdler.

MILLERS BANK has won two of his last three runs. The most recent of those was a month ago in a Newbury Handicap.

This is a big step up in quality for him. There’s a lot to like about Millers Bank over the hurdles, but can he find significantly more?

NOT SO SLEEPY scored the Betfair Exchange Torpy at Ascot on his penultimate race.

He wasn’t disgraced in a decent Champion Hurdle effort on a follow-up, taking fifth.

SILVER STREAK has scored twice for Evan Williams this season. One of those was the Christmas Hurdle.

He was last seen three weeks ago at the Champion Hurdle, where he was 6th after launching his attack just a shade early.

Predictions & Tips for Bestway Aintree Hurdle Betting Odds

This is a fascinating renewal at the Aintree Festival as it’s wide open, especially is some produce bounce back performances.

We are looking at BREWIN’UPASTORM as our pick as the winner in the contest at 13/2* (odds recorded on April 7th, 2021 at 20:15 GMT at Betway).

Since making the calculated move back to the hurdles, he has been thriving and just looks primed for even more. So we are swinging with him.

We expect a little more from MCFABUNLOUS who meets Brewin’upastorm on a revised mark that will suit him a little better.

So we think that he enters the fray very strongly after a lacklustre effort last time out.

Our final selection is SONG FOR SOMEONE who is just intriguing. He is surely worth some each way considerations after having landed a Grade 2 double this season.
