The Sandown Fortune Stakes racing odds preview dives into a suitably competitive field for Wednesday’s Listed race.

There are plenty with claims taking on this 1m challenge.

At the head of the market for Sandown Fortune Stakes racing odds is MOSTAHDAF but there are other big players like SIR BUSKER and PEROTTO in contention.

It should be a fantastic fixture and there are 10 declared runners for the contest.

For horse racing betting we will look at the chances of all of those who are lining up.

Mostahdaf the 5/2 FAV in Sandown Fortune Stakes Racing Odds

A big run will be expected from MOSTAHADF who is 5/2 in the Fortune Stake racing odds* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

He kicked off his career in fine fashion, winning his first three efforts. One of those was at course and distance in the Heron Stakes.

So that’s a good piece of form for a 3-year-old and he does look to have plenty more to come. He will need to bounce back after failing in the St James’s Palace three months ago.

In that latest run, he was hampered during the fixture, which may have ruined his shot. But also it looked like he was not at his best on the day anyway.

This is an easier assignment for the son of Frankel, so a reasonable chance therefore for MOSTAHDAF to take the win.

Perotto could threaten after Goodwood effort

Not to be counted out of the running for the score in the Fortune Stakes on Wednesday is PEROTTO.

There was an eye-catching fifth place finishing for him at Goodwood in the Celebration Mile 18 days ago.

He was strong and competitive in that Group 2 effort, so he will find the waters much calmer on Wednesday.

Perotto claimed a victory in the Britannia at Royal Ascot this season and if the race swings his way tactically, notably off the pace, then Perotto should have a shot.

There is a quote of 6/1 on Perotto taking the glory* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

Sir Busker with big claims at Sandown

It would be a pretty big surprise if SIR BUSKER was not in the thick of things in this one as he has enjoyed a very good, consistent season.

Notable pieces of form from him this season have been a good strong fourth-place finish in the Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury and a place finish in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot.

With all that said, he was disappointingly below his best (unusual for him) when he took only a fourth-place finish last time out in the Group 2 City Of York Stakes.

Sir Busker comes up on a trip for this trip and drops in grade as well so there are big claims for him.

He is a quote of 7/2 second-favourite currently in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

Can Bell Rock find enough?

Another with a reasonable chance in this competitive fixture is BELL ROCK who has been wonderfully competitively lately.

In his last two, he has been up in grade and performed with some credit.

The most recent of those was a runner up finish in the Group 3 Superior Mile Stakes at Haydock.

That was at a 1m trip, so Bell Rock is certainly no forlorn hope for this contest as he comes down in grade.

Bell Rock opened the season with a handicap success at Newmarket back in May on a slightly longer trip.

This looks to be right in his wheelhouse and is a 7/1 contender* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

Rhoscolyn warrants respect

Although he does look to have a little to find against some of his rivals, RHOSCOLYN has place claims.

He has proven himself competitively at the Listed level and he has been ticking along in good form for most of this season.

There was a hattrick of success for Rhsoscolyn earlier this season, which was completed in June for his new yard.

He was last seen taking a third-place finish in the Hamilton Supreme Stakes at Goodwood (Group 3) just over two weeks ago.

There is a quote of 8/1 on Rhoscolyn for Wednesday* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

The Rest Of The Runners

BRUNCH churned out a well-below par effort in the Strensall Stakes at York last time out. That was a bit of an anomaly to his form as he’d been progressing well this season. The 4-year-old still retains plenty of potential and isn’t totally out of this.

QAYSAR looks on paper to have too much to find to pick up the win in this one for Richard Hannon. He was poor in his latest, the Golden Mile at Goodwood in July.

ACCIDENTAL AGENT is inconsistent but looked to be somewhat back on track with a second-place finish at Haydock two weeks ago. Still, he looks as if he needs a lot more than that to get in this.

ESCOBAR isn’t without reasonable place claims. He hasn’t won since 2019 but was only just touched off at Goodwood 18 days ago. That was a race that was in his favour either. He’s a lively outsider.

BULLACE compiled a hattrick with a handicap score at Newmarket on a 1m trip on his reappearance. There has also been a Listed place finish over course and distance from Bullace this season. His form in the St James’s Palace Stakes last time out left him wanting, however.

Predictions & Tips for Sandown Fortune Stakes Racing Odds

It is MOSTAHDAF who takes preference in Fortune Stakes racing odds for Wednesday at 5/2* (odds recorded at 17:40 GMT on September 14th, 2021 at Coral).

His lack of performance in the St James’s Palace could have been down to a slack day or being hampered, or a combination of both.

Either way, given the form he produced before that, Mostahdaf clearly has the ability to be scoring at this level.

RHOSCOLYN piques plenty of interest here and brings some solid form to the table. A hattrick earlier this season and a solid run at Goodwood last time out, should see him get involved.

The other selection for the shortlist is PEROTTO, although out of the main contenders, he is the one that will need the most help from the way the rams pans out.

If things are held up then the 3-year-olds should be right in it.
