FAV in Stayers’ Hurdle Racing Odds

FLOORING PORTER is the current 7/2 favourite in Stayers’ Hurdle betting at the Cheltenham Festival 2022* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

He is back for a defence in this race after winning the 2021 renewal. He had made some sharp progress to get that win done.

This season things have not gone quite so well for him, however.

Flooring Porter fell on his seasonal reappearance and then was touched off by Klassical Dream in a Grade 1 December effort.

Flooring Porter was still well clear of anyone else behind him in that contest.

The return to Cheltenham where he dominated things last year could well revive him enough.

ROYAL KAHALA
6/1

KLASSICAL DREAM needs to be respected as well for this one after that score at Leopardstown in December.

He is another in this field who has previous Cheltenham Festival winning experience. There was a 2019 Supreme Novices score for Klassical Dream.

Klassical Dream added a couple of further Grade 1 wins to his tally last year.

He wasn’t as hot last time out, but is good enough to bounce back and pose a major threat.

ROYAL KAHALA could pose a big threat in this race as well because she is on an upward curve right now.

She is moving nicely through the ranks now with a Grade 3 success followed by her win at the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle in January.

This trip could potentially bring even more out of Royal Kahala.

Conditions could be in her favour as well and is one to consider at 6/1* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

CHAMP is certainly no forlorn hope in this one. The 2020 RSA Chase winner has continued with some good form over the timbers this season.

Champ opened with a score in the Long Walk and then followed that up well with a runner up spot here in the Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle. He can’t be ruled out.

THYME HILL is likely going to be another of the big players as well. He was runner up to Champ in the Long Walk back in December.

Thyme Hill, who has a good hurdles record, returns from having had a break since then.

He comes in at a quote of 9/2 in Stayers’ Hurdle betting* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

The rest of the runners Stayers’ Hurdle Cheltenham 2022

HOME BY THE LEE has taken back to back runner up spots. He was well clear of everyone else when second to Royal Kalaha in a Grade 2 at Gowran Park on the latest. This will demand more.

KOSHARI claimed a win in November on his yard debut. That was when he outran his massive 80/1 odds in an Aintree Handicap. This is a much bigger task, however.

LISNAGAR OSCAR was third in the course and distance Cleeve Hurdle back in January.

He did claim the 2020 renewals of the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Festival but there’s not enough in his current form that suggests a repeat.

PAISLEY PARK rattled off another Cleeve Hurdle win at the course and distance in January, getting the better of Champ.

He is a former Stayers’ Hurdle winner and has been in resurgent form this season so warrants place claim respect.

SONG FOR SOMEONE is a smart hurdler but hasn’t quite kicked on enough this season per the timbers to suggest that he has this in him.

Stayers’ Hurdle Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

ROYAL KAHALA could be chanced at 6/1 in Stayers’ Hurdle betting 2022* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

She hasn’t put a foot wrong over the timbers this season and is progressing at a rate of knots.

This is the toughest challenge that she has faced, but she could be up to it.

FLOORING PORTER needs a little revival not having been in the winner’s circle from the last three efforts.

But he was such a big performer in last year’s renewal and is a top-class hurdler regardless, he warrants respect at 7/2* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

THYME HILL is the final shortlisted selection for the Stayers’ Hurdle tips at 9/2* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

He appeared to be warming up nicely with a runner up spot in the Long Walk in December. Thyme Hill does have a good hurdles record and from fresh could put things together.
