Danny Whizzbang the 9/2 FAV for Silver Trophy Handicap Chase

It has been two wins from two over the hurdles for Paul Nicholls’ DANNY WHIZZBANG.

The gelding goes as the 9/2 FAV for this contest on Saturday* (betting odds taken from Coral at 23:50 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2020).

His chase debut came last year when he won that debut effort at Newbury in a Grade 2 fixture. It has been back to back third-place finishes from him.

Danny Whizzbang wasn’t in top form when he was last in action. That was in February at Ascot, but still managed to get himself in the frame.

During the break since then, Danny Whizzbang has undergone wind surgery.

Can Present Man step it up?

PRESENT MAN warrants some respect at 7/1* (betting odds taken from Coral at 23:50 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2020).

He has form in this race, having won the Silver Trophy Handicap Chase in 20017 and 2018.

He was back for last year’s renewal but wasn’t in the frame in that one. But he is back and with a bit of renewed form as well.

Present Man has had a reappearance run under his belt when he got himself a win at Chepstow last month.

If he can build on that reappearance run, then last year’s winning trainer Paul Nicholls could be in striking distance with another win in this fixture.

El Presente is carrying some winning form

EL PRESENTE has enough to be a big player in this fixture as well as he is sitting on a hat-trick. So his current form is there.

Since having undergone wind surgery he has come on leaps and bounds by winning three of his four starts.

El Presente has gone up 5lb in the rating now and overall this is going to be a much more challenging fixture for him. He was last seen in action at Hereford last month in a five-runner field.

The victory came by more than three lengths and in it, he tallied up his third win of the campaign.

It is a 10/1 quote on him for Saturday’s action* (betting odds taken from Coral at 23:50 GMT on Friday, 6th November 2020).

Sizing At Midnight brings each way claims

SIZING AT MIDNIGHT is coming along well in this sphere having claimed a couple of back to back wins in recent months.

Those wins that he delivered were at Newton Abbot and Ffos Las and he showed plenty of improvement in both of those.

Sizing At Midnight rattled the crossbar on his last effort as well. That was in an Exeter fixture over a 3m trip just last month.

He was in second place there, getting beaten by more than three lengths by Kitty’s Light.

He has been the favourite in that one and he looks to have a good chance of getting in the mix with a bold run.

Others to note

MY WAY has yet to take a win over the fences, but has produced some good performances over the bigger stuff.

Just last month he had his reappearance run, where he took a win at Stratford in a 22f maiden hurdle. He carries a 5f claimer as well.

SOME CHAOS needs to deliver a decent improvement in the jumping form to get a say in this one. But there could be place claims there if he does come back with more.

He delivered a win on his last effort which was at Kelso a couple of weeks ago. There’s still more to come from him.

POTTERMAN scored a fantastic win for himself in August when delivering under handicap terms at Market Rasen.

Next time out he delivered a good follow up run at Chepstow to take second place. On the back of that, he could make a bold bit.

Predictions & Tips for Wincanton Silver Trophy Handicap Chase Racing Odds

DANNY WHIZZBANG has to be very well respected for the contest on form, plus trainer Paul Nicholls has a great track record in the fixture.

Danny Whizzbang won his reappearance last season and has proven before that he can come in and deliver refreshed. Giving his standing in the ratings, then he rightly is one of the leading contenders.

Another that we have to look at is MY WAY who has won this race a couple of times.

The fact that he just came back into form ahead of a return to this one, signals that a bold run could be coming from him as well on a happy hunting ground.

Rounding up the selections for our shortlist will be EL PRESENTE who looks to be a good progressive sort.

This is a much more demanding content for him, especially having risen 5lb, but he does look as if he can enter calculations.
