Love the favourite in Investec Oaks odds
With a decent draw in the middle of the stalls, LOVE who is set to be ridden by Ryan Moore is the current 5/4 favourite for Oaks success on Saturday* (betting odds taken from Boylesports are 20:56 GMT on Friday, July 3rd 2020).
There is a justifiable reason for that as well. She is a really tough horse and scored on her recent appearance. That was in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and has no issues with staying power whatsoever.
It has been four wins in the last six efforts from the filly, but the Guineas success was the highlight and performance of her career so far.
She steamed by home more than four lengths and is going to take some beating on the extra trip.

FRANKLY DARLING has Frankie Dettori booked for the ride and she will be looking for a hattrick on the weekend.

Frankly Darling demands all the respect in the world and scored back to back wins last month after a long time away from the track.

It wouldn’t be a big surprise if ENNISTYMON was scrapping things out for a place or better in this one. She did miss out against Frankly Darling at Ascot, but wasn’t a world away from the winner.
Based on that performance anywhere she is the pick of the bunch behind the two front-runners without a shadow of a doubt.
She is a lightly raced filly and she does look to have more to come. But will it be enough against two very classy opponents?

BHARANI STAR was fourth behind winner Frankly Darling at Ascot and she never really looked as she shaped to mount a serious challenge. There’s plenty for her to try and make up.
There has been a lack of finishing quality from PASSION, but she did take third place ahead of BHARANI STAR in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. This is going to be an even tougher ask however.
A second place finish was there for QUEEN DAENERYS on her last trip which was at Newmarket among Listed company at 10f. This is another good progressive filly and the extra trip may well play into her hands.
Rounding out the Investec Oaks odds preview is TIEMPO VUELA who will be making just her third racetrack appearance. She scored on her debut but had a poor effort at Newmarket on her reappearance, not showing any real form.
Predictions & Tips
Our nod is going to go towards FRANKLY DARLING for this one. The performance that she put down at the Ribblesdale was highly impressive without question.
With Dettori in the saddle as well, we have to lean her way because she is lightly raced and has plenty more in the tank by the looks of her. It’s the staying power that she had that appeals the most.
Even though LOVE scored that 1000 Guineas effort it wasn’t among the kind of quality that she is going to be up against in this one. If you look at those who placed at Newmarket in that, it does take some home of Love’s accomplishment.

If an upset is going to happen in this one then we wouldn’t look past ENNISTYMON to find enough to pull it off.
