He scored a good win on his return to action at Haydock, a tight win, but a win nonetheless, the 4 year old getting the job done by a head.
In taking on the challenge of the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot, a bit more was expected of Moon King, but he failed to deliver there on a 2m 4f trip.
But he’s certainly not worth deserting on the back of that run and he has claimed a win at the distance before which should keep him in this.
True Destiny respected on form

was really coming on leaps and bound in 2019, winning three times at up to 16.2f along the way. He hasn’t been out of the place in any of his last six runs.
On his return he was in the picture at Kempton and the 5 year old did a solid job in taking runner up in a field of five on a 2m trip.
He is making a sizable jump up in class for this contest though.
But in a note towards that, True Destiny claimed a third-place finish at Goodwood in July last year at Class 2 over a longer two miles, four and a half furlongs.
Themaxwecan has enough to get in the frame
THEMAXWECAN seems to be heading in the right direction. He took a fifth place finish on his renewal and went better on his following trip.
That was at Royal Ascot in the Copper Horse Handicap and Themaxwecan took fourth there in a field of sixteen.
In his previous race he was fifth of six in a race won by Moon King, but could be a player based on his Ascot form.

JUST IN TIME returns from a long absence, but his form before the break was interesting. He hasn’t been seen since 2018 but he was in good form at the back end of that season.
RESHOUN may be able to show more now he is back on a 2m trip and he gets the visor on for the first time as well.
He claimed a fourth place finish in the Bet365 Trophy at Newmarket nine days ago. His last run of 2019 saw him win a 2m Kempton handicap.
CARNWENNAN was last seen in the Northumberland Plate where he couldn’t quite get himself in the frame.
But that was after a 121 day break at the end of June and should be better for it. He was bang in form, claiming a hattrick last summer.

SELINO is clearly the pick of the bunch at the head of the market.
