Dhabab 9/4 FAV in Mill Reef Stakes Racing Odds

It will be the fourth racetrack appearance for DHABAB who is looking like an impressive prospect.

He opened with a victory in a 6f maiden at Leicester, an eye-catching performance from him.

On the back of that, connections sent Dhabab to the Coventry at Royal Ascot.

It was a sixth-place finish for him there but ran better than the result suggested. On the longer trip at the Superlative Stakes last time out, his stamina was pushed.

So the drop back to back to the 6f trip looks right for Dhabab and needs to be respected firmly for Saturday.

Dhabab is the current 9/4 favourite in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

GUBBASS
4/1

Gubbass poses a big threat to the favourite

There is plenty to like about the challenge to come from Richard Hannon’s GUBBASS on Saturday at Newbury.

Gubbass opened the season with back to back wins. One of those was a notable piece of form as well.

It was a victory in the Super Sprint here, Gubbass doing superbly in a big field of 22 to land that. He has not been disgraced in defeat the last twice either.

Excellent efforts produced by him in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood and then over in Deauville for the Prix Morny gives him big claims.

Gubbass has kept on very well in his last two efforts and has a big chance of adding to those victories here at Newbury and Leicester this season.

Gubbass is a quote of 4/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

Gis A Sub can make is presence felt

There could be a positive challenge at Newbury on Saturday from GIS A SUB who has shown good form.

It has been one victory in four runs from him this season. That came at Pontefract back in the summer, where he won comfortably.

Gis A Sub is a quote of 15/2 for Saturday’s horse racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

On his latest effort, Gis A Sub produced his very best effort to date. That was a second place finish behind Lusail in the Gimcrack at York.

That was an eye-catching 6f trip from him and can perform well back at this same Group 2 level.

Hierarchy not to be written off

Although he does look as if he needs to find more, HIERARCHY is no forlorn hope at 14/1 each-way* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

He opened his account with back to back wins. Those happened at Wolverhampton and Salisbury putting him on the map.

Hierarchy was then sent to the Sirenia Stakes at Kempton a couple of weeks later. He performed admirably in that one with a third-place finish.

Oisin Murphy is booked for this one, which should help Hierarchy’s cause even further. The breeding is there to see him develop into a very good sprinter.

Fearby likely to be in the thick of things

Being a little more exposed than most of these rivals, FEARBY warrants some respect in this field at 15/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

He is a dual winner this season. On his latest effort, Fearby appeared in the Gimcrack and took fourth place there at York.

That was a month ago and maybe sharper for the break. It was his first time taking on a 6f trip and didn’t wholeheartedly look as if he took it.

But Fearby should be better for the experience and place claims are there for Saturday at Newbury.

Rest of the runners

KHUNAN struggled in the Prix Morny at Deauville a month ago. That was a long drop from his superb second place in the Richmond Stakes. It’s been a little patchy in terms of form from him and may struggle to get in this competitive Group 2.

MAGLEV has won one of his four appearances so far, that score happening in a Yarmouth novice. He has gone on to improve in his last two, earning a good second place finish. A return to a 6f distance from Maglev gives him place claims.

MANACCAN got off the mark at the third time of asking. That was in Newmarket Novice three weeks ago. It wasn’t a strong enough race to pull any notable form from, however.

MELAYU KINGDOM will be in just his third racetrack appearance Potential is there after making a winning debut at Thirsk. He looked great in a follow up at Ripon and this may be a little too much too soon.

WINGS OF WAR scored conformity at Nottingham on his second appearance. He was in a Group 3 on his latest, taking a good second at Kempton. Still, this is a tougher race.

Predictions & Tips for Mill Reef Stakes Racing Odds

GUBBASS looks to be well worth chancing for this contest at a quote of 4/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at 888sport).

He returns to the scene of his Super Sprint success and since landing that win, Gubbass has just gotten better and better.

There should be a strong effort from DHABAB as well and the key for him is the drop back to the 6f trip. That puts him right in the thick of it.

The other that warrants respect for a place finish is HIERARCHY at longer each way odds. He’s certainly a lively outsider after a good effort in the Serenia Stakes.
