FAV in Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase Racing Odds

TIGER ROLL is the current 13/8 favourite in the Cross Country Chase betting market* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Betfred).

The veteran is looking for a fourth success in the fixture after reclaiming the crown last year.

He has always had stamina in spades and is a two-time Grand national winner as well.

He has a brilliant record at Cheltenham and Tiger Roll looks like a player once again.

After winning back to back renewals of the Cross County, Tiger Roll was toppled by Easysland in 2020. But he convincingly beat that rival last year.

The really isn’t any current form for Tiger Roll, but connections sound positive and the more the rain holds off the better his chances will be on Wednesday.

There have been indications that this will be the last race for Tiger Roll. Will he sign off on a positive note?

PRENGARDE
15/2

Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase Betting Contenders

DELTA WORK lines us as an intriguing entry at 6/1 in Cross Country Chase betting* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Betfred).

This will be his cross country debut.

There have been five career Grade 1 chase wins by him, and he is a stalemate of Tiger Roll under Gordon Elliott.

The last time Delta Work was seen was just over a month ago in the Grade 1 Irish Gold Cup, a long way back of the winner.

BACK ON THE LASH looks to be in good enough current form to make an impact in this contest at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

He kicked off with a course and distance cross country win on his debut in this discipline in November.

He was a little below that on his follow up run at the same venue. Place claims are there for him, however.

MIDNIGHT MAESTRO is not to be overlooked after winning at Punchestown in a cross country effort last month.

That was a tight one by a neck over stablemate Shady Operator who also lines up in this one.

On his penultimate run, Midnight Maestro was disappointing at course and distance but could be revived.

PRENGARDE is a potentially big player in this year’s contest. He has a stack of cross country experience behind him, winning multiple times in France.

PRengarde made a yard debut for Enda Bolger last month and was well held in a handicap hurdle.

This suits him more and from is going for a leading yard in this discipline.

Others runners to note Cross Country Chase Cheltenham Festival 2022

SHADY OPERATOR was just touched off by Midnight Maestro at Punchestown last time out. But it was a good run nonetheless.

Shady Operator had won a couple of cross country efforts at that same venue before, so he can get in this.

2020 winner EASYSLAND needs a revival. He wasn’t anywhere near his 2020 form in last year’s Glenfarclas chase.

Last month he went out twice for a new yard in handicap hurdles and offered very little. Will a return to the cross country scene shake up Easysland?

PLAN OF ATTACK is no forlorn hope but may need a couple of the others to have an off day.

Place claims could be there as he has been in the frame that last twice at the course and distance handicaps.

BRAHMA BULL is talented and has been a lot more consistent with his form as of late.

He’s strong enough and has the stamina to make a nuisance of himself for trainer Willie Mullins.

DIESEL D’ALLIER was a winner at course and distance in December, getting the better of Potters Corner.

He was a long way back from winner Easysland when he took this on in 2020. Does he have more this time around?

Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase Trends

We next look at some of the key trends for the Cross Country Chase tips at the Cheltenham Festival 2022. This is such an intriguing race.

It’s around a 3m 6f trip with 32 obstacles that the runners have to get over. So it’s one of those specialist races which won’t come easily to all.

There have been two winning favourites in the last ten renewals and one of those was Tiger Roll in 2019 as the 5/4F.

Surprisingly, however, given how demanding this race is, just two of the last 10 editions have been won by a runner who had been in double figures in the market.

Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

Listening to the chatter about TIGER ROLL it has all been positive and he is a proven performer in this race.

Tiger Roll gets on the shortlist as the 13/8 favourite in which will probably be the last time that he is seen in action* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Betfred).

Who to pick out of the rest of the pack behind him?

This is tricky but PRENGARDE has to have a chance. He’s from a winning yard and has proven cross country form from over in France.

The 15/2 shot will be much better in this than what he gave on his handicap hurdle yard debut last time out* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Betfred)..

SHADY OPERATOR from 11/1 is the final shortlist selection in Cross Country Chase betting odds at the Cheltenham Festival 2022* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Betfred).

Given that he has won a couple of cross country efforts before, he should have a reasonable shout.

Shady Operator showed good form in defeat by a neck against Midnight Maestro last time out.
