The penultimate fixture of Thursday’s Cheltenham Festival action brings the Mares’ Novices tips to the fore.

This is an exciting Grade 2 contest at the event, which is run over a distance of 2m 1f.

It’s commonly known as the Dawn Run and it is the newest race that exists at the Cheltenham Festival.

The Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle was only introduced in 2016 so there is not a great deal of history and stats to look back through.

But our betting experts look at what we can to present the best Mares Novices’ Hurdle Tips for the Cheltenham Festival 2022.

DINOBLUE is the current 5/2 favourite in Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle betting* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

She won her debut by 15 lengths at Clonmel back in January. She looked to have plenty more to come as well, so is a big player in just her second racetrack experience.

Mares Novices’ Hurdle Betting Contenders

LOVE ENVOI puts her unbeaten record on the line on Thursday at the Cheltenham Festival.

Despite making a mistake in the Grade 2 Jane Seymour last time out, she still had enough for the score.

Love Envoi has been handed 5lb extra, but from 12/1 warrants respect* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

So too does BRANDY LOVE who goes for trainer Willie Mullins. There was an impressive hurdles debut made by her.

In that bow, Brandy Love scored at Naas in a maiden.

She was a little wayward on a runner-up spot at Fairyhouse on her follow up, but there’s excellent form there.

HORS PISTE could have something to offer coming up in grade. It’s going to be all about finding that rapid progress.

She won at Clonmel four weeks ago in a facile victory, so she does have more about her.

NURSE SUSAN is another who potentially has a high ceiling. She won her first two efforts with plenty left in the tank.

Despite being defeated by Love Envoi at Lingfield on her latest, that was further progress in form made by Nurse Susan.

Mares Novices’ Hurdle Trends

There have only been six previous renewals of the Mares’ Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, so things are a little limited there.

The first three editions were all won by the favourite on the day.

Things have gone backwards for favourites since then, none of the last three having cracked the top ten.

As for the trainer trends for Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle tips, Willie Mullins has won five of the previous six renewals of this contest. His streak was broken last year by Henry De Bromhead.

Paul Townend and Rachael Blackmore are the only two active jockeys to have landed a win in this fixture.

Mares Novices’ Hurdle Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

This looks like a good competitive contest for the 2022 renewal and heading up our Mares Novices’ Hurdle Tips is NURSE SUSAN at 20/1* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

She was beaten by Love Envoi last time out, but that rival has been slapped with a demanding 5lb extra, so the former could have a chance to get back at here.

ENVOI ALLEN has to be respected though too having made it four wins from four over the hurdles last time.

That was without her score at Sandown being a clear round either. She’s worth a look even with the bump up at 12/1* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

HORS PISTE didn’t have to find anything near top gear to land a score at Clonmel last time out, on just her second start for her current yard.

There could be more to come and is worth a look at 16/1 in Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle tips* (odds recorded at 18:28 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).
