17:15 Windsor Racing Odds & Tips: 888Sport offer 10/3 on Konchek – 6th July 2020

Horse Racing Betting

This is the second of the day’s Windsor racing odds to consider from the track on Monday and it is the Value Racing Club Handicap.

It is a Class 3 fixture which is a quick sprint over 5f. There is a good field of 9 declared for the contest which is open to 4 year olds and above.

The going is set to be good at the course and a high draw will likely prove to be an advantage as it tends to be that way at the track.

Spoof 9/2

Konchek heads up Windsor Racing odds

There will be cheekpieces back on for KONCHEK who looks to make a positive impact after a poor effort last time out.

That was at Royal Ascot just over a couple of weeks ago when he finished 13th in a field of 22.

That was a reappearance and could be forgiven but that was after finishing 19th of 22 before heading into his winter break.

This is a drop in class for him however, and it wasn’t the worst of runs that he had at Ascot in the Wokingham Stakes.

Connections will be hoping for a little more from the 4 year old at this level now and he has something to prove as the 10/3 favourite in Windsor Racing odds* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 23:48 GMT on Sunday July 5th 2020).

Blue De Vega to be trusted enough?

There was a decent finish from BLUE DE VEGA on his last effort. That was 12 days ago in handicap action at Haydock over a 5f trip. So that is what brings his claims forward here.

He is a horse that blows hot and cold as supporters will attest to.

But that solid Haydock effort does suggests that he could at least be trending towards something better and has to be respected as a 7/2 contenderr* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 23:48 GMT on Sunday July 5th 2020).

Yimou better for a recent run?

There wasn’t much to get excited about for YIMOU on his last run in terms of result. He was 7th of 10 in handicap action. But that was at Windsor three weeks ago so has had a course effort.

However, he had shaped up well in that one and was leading for quite a while in the 6f trip. He came back down in distance and will also shed 1lb for the contest as well. That could well bring him into the picture.

Yimou is 9/2 contender in Windsor racing odds for this one* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 23:48 GMT on Sunday July 5th 2020).

AMPLIFY may well need to be respected in this contest. His last run was at Windsor just over a week ago. He was sixth of nine in that one and never quite shaped well enough.

But he is a course and distance winner and has struck three times between 5f and 6f in good conditions.

Not to be dismissed from 11/2 in this kind of field* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 23:48 GMT on Sunday July 5th 2020)

Can Spoof upset the card?

SPOOF was a beaten favourite on his last effort. That was 11 days ago. He just wasn’t in the best of form there which was surprising as it was his second effort back after a break.

It could hint at how unreliable he is and he hasn’t scored in any type of contest since 2018. He is up there at 9/2 for this contest however* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 23:48 GMT on Sunday July 5th 2020).

The Rest of the Runners

TROPICS was nowhere to be seen in contention on his reappearance just under two weeks ago. He was a long way short on a 5f trip at Haydock. Needs to find quite a bit more based on that.

KICK ON KICK ON is a course and distance winner and will have a tongue strap for this. He has not won since 2018 and there’s been little in recent form to suggest that will chance

DARK SHOT was well down the field on his last effort a month ago. He is another course and distance winner. He doesn’t look likely to score really.

Neither does SECOND COLLECTION another course and distance winner. Was third from last at Newmarket over 6f on his last effort and tends to be an unreliable sort.

Predictions & Tips for Windsor Racing Odds

We are we looking in Windsor racing odds for this handicap? It is not the easiest of fields to pick through but there is one that has caught the eye with form.

That is YIMOU who looks to be the pick of the bunch based on that. He is a course winner and comes back down the minimum trip, all of which should see him put together a very good effort here.

Because KONCHEK has come down in the weights there is a chance that he could find that elusive first win since his debut effort. The other that we will consider is in the same boat.

That’s BLUE DE VEGA who has also been tumbling down and surely has to be off of a workable mark for this contest.
