The race favourite in National Hunt Chase odds 2022 is RUN WILD FRED at 7/4* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at William Hill).

He is one of a handful of classy runners taking on this challenge and he should have no problem when it comes to stamina.

On his penultimate run, he took a victory at Navan in the Troytown Chase on a 3m trip.

He was subsequently pushed a Grade 1 on his follow up at Leopardstown.

Run Wild Fred ran with full credit in that contest to take a runner up finish. With Jamie Codd in the saddle then the 8-year-old looks to have a big chance.

National Hunt Chase Betting Contenders

STATTLER is in fine form at the moment and makes for another of the big players in this contest.

He looks as if he can hang in there with the trip and he will be looking to compile a hattrick in his current form.

Stattler has looked a very good chaser and scored a Grade 2 success on his latest run back in January at a 3m distance.

Form from that race has panned out for him and there is no reason why he shouldn’t be in the thick of the action.

The Willie Mullins-trained Stattler is a quote of 5/2 in National Hunt Chase betting* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at William Hill).

VANILLIER completes the strong trio who are going into this final race of the Cheltenham Festival Day 1 line-up.

He impressively took the Albert Bartlett last year. He has been solid more than progressive over the fences this season.

But Vanillier does still retain potential in this sphere and he looks like he has a good enough engine to keep himself in the frame.

The rest of the trainers National Hunt Chase

BEATTHEBULLET gets the blinkers on for the first time. He is a big outsider in his one and has been well held on both efforts since winning on his chase debut in November.

BRAESIDE is a good stayer, which could see him bring some place claims to the table. He opened the season with a win at Cork over the fences.

PATS FANCY is a good stayer as well and has produced some credible form this season. He has taken a couple of handicap wins this season.

Pats Fancy was only beaten by a good prospect at Newbury on this latest and is no forlorn hope.

National Hunt Chase Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

We have reached the National Hunt Chase tips section of this year’s review and this is really an intriguing field to pick through.

There are basically three main contenders here and it is hard to see anyone beyond them carrying enough of a threat.

Preference has to be with RUN WILD FRED at 7/4* (odds recorded at 17:54 GMT on March 14th, 2022 at William Hill).

He is from the leading trainer in this race (Gordon Elliott) and has the leading jockey (Jamie Codd) on his back for Tuesday’s effort.

There doesn’t look to be too much between STATTLER and the race favourite, so the proven yard and jockey form tip the balance there towards the former.

VANILLIER looks the clear pick of the rest of these in the small field to stick in there and mount some kind of challenge.
