Energumen the 2/5 FAV for Ryanair Novice Chase Racing Odds

We have a clear front runner in Punchestown Ryanair Novice Chase racing odds. That is ENERGUMENE at 2/5* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).

He is just as impressive as it gets and he completed a seasonal hat-trick with a comfortable victory at Leopardstown 82 days ago.

That was on his step up to Grade 1 company as well. So that’s three wins from three over the fences from the Willie Mullins/Paul Townend partnership this season for Energumene.

It’s five wins on the spin if you take things back to last season well.

The 7 year old is just a fantastic prospect and no doubt destined for bigger things. He did sadly miss the Cheltenham Festival this year because of injury.

Energumene is going to take all the beating in this fixture on Thursday.

Coral

Captain Guinness the best of the rest?

There is course and distance history for CAPTAIN GUINNESS at least who is the 11/2 second favourite* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).

He was last seen in the Arkle when he never managed to get himself settled well enough. He was just far too keen for the day, but these is calmer waters.

Captain Guinness faced Energumene at Navan, when he found that rival too good, before taking a fall at Leopardstown on his follow up to that.

So it’s not a season of consistency. But there has been positive strides made by him chasing nonetheless and he does have something to offer. Rachael Blackmore is booked for the 6 year old.

Can Janidil handle the shorter trip?

We don’t think the chances of JANIDIL at least for the forecast, is out of the picture. He is another very smart chaser for Willie Mullins.

He comes down on trip for this contest after claiming a win at 20f at Fairyhouse 25 days ago. That was a Grade 1 fixture.

The success punished Janidil on to two wins from four runs this season. We’re not totally sure about him over this distance to be honest. Not in terms of him taking the victory.

He’s a down to earth hard worker, and with a bold effort could find himself with a shout for a place finish.

Can Embittered show after poor Cheltenham?

There was a fall for EMBITTERED at this season’s Cheltenham Festival. That was in the Grand Annual when he was positioned 9th in the field.

Embittered had been very well supported for that contest. He has not managed to find a win this season yet, but did claim back to back finishes at the start of the season.

Embittered is also a course and distance winner, so that’s something on his side. He is going to have to find something very special on the jump up to this level.

There is a quote of 14/1 on the win for Embittered* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).

Zarkareva the big outsider

The 66/1 outsider in Ryanair Novice Chase racing odds is ZARKAREVA* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).

She’s not a bad chaser and has won a couple of times this season and is a course winner too.

That least time that she was seen was at Fairyhouse almost a month ago when she was pulling hard. That was in a listed chase effort and she’s entering this as the lowest rated horse by a fair distance.

So Zarkareva is the big outsider for the contest and it’s hard to picture a scenario where Henry de Bromhead’s mare gets the win.

Predictions & Tips for Punchestown Ryanair Novice Chase Racing Odds

This should all be one way traffic from the favourite ENERGUMENE.

He looks head and shoulders above this field and that’s reflected in the 2/5 odds* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).

As for the one who is most likely to follow him home, we are going for CAPTAIN GUINNESS for that in Punchestown Ryanair Novice Chase.

Captain Guinness is a quote of 11/10 in the W/O Energumene racing market* (odds recorded at 23:27 GMT on April 28th, 2021 at Coral).
