Hold Fast 15/8 FAV in Windsor Fillies Handicap Odds

Lining up as the current favorite for this race is HOLD FAST at 15/8* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:01 GMT on Sunday, 19th July 2020).

She scored on her appearance which was at the start of June at Kempton. That was a victory by a half of a length over Nashy.

Trainer Andrew Balding then saw her take on the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot and Hold Fast struggled there, finishing last of eleven.

But this is a considerably easier challenge than that and there should be some smooth going from her. Hold Fast brings solid claims for Windsor Fillies Handicap odds.

A La Voile looks for second success

The unexposed A LA VOILE will be looking to back up a score that she took on her reappearance. She claimed the recent victory on an 8f trip at Bath a couple of weeks ago.

It wasn’t the highest quality that she was up against, but looks to be handled well and has every chance of pulling more out now she is coming up in trip.

This will be the handicap debut for A La Voile and she is an 11/4 quote* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:01 GMT on Sunday, 19th July 2020).

Geizy Teizy can pull into the picture

There is GEIZY TEIZY as well who may warrant some considerations in this fixture. She put in a solid fourth place finish on her last run which was at the course.

That was on a 10f trip as well and better placing in the race should have seen more from her. She is a former course and distance winner too for further claims.

Geizy Teizy stays at the same mark and so in coming back up in trip again, she has to bring claims from 7/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:01 GMT on Sunday, 19th July 2020).

A fitter Dalanijujo can make an impression

On her return to action there was an eighth place finish for DALANIJUJO at Doncaster three weeks ago. That was an 8f trip on good to firm turf.

That should have sharpened her up and with strong pedigree behind her, she could come on strongly at this 1m 2f trip.

She has been lightly raced and is in very good hands to shine despite being out at 10/1 in the market* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:01 GMT on Sunday, 19th July 2020).

The Rest Of The Runners

EXPENSIVE DIRHAM claimed a fifth on her return to action at Leicester. That was under handicap terms on a 12f trip. That was only a couple of weeks ago and should strip fitter. She is bottom of the weights and needs to rediscover form a bit.

LOTTIE MARIE delivered a success on her return to action which will have pleased connections. So too her fifth place from a field of nine at a handicap effort at Kempton a month ago. She ease into this longer trip without question and has outside claims.

QUEEN OF ALL is a lightly raced filly who has won two of her three racetrack appearances. But coming up to take on the challenge of handicap action for the first time she looked a bit out of her depth, taking 9th of 12 at Chelmsford. This is her first time on turf and is up in trip.

RUE DE LA GAITE makes a debut for a new yard here, now being trained by Tom Clover. She only made her UK debut a month ago when she took second at Kempton on an 8f trip. Race conditions favoured her, and may be found wanting a little.

Predictions & Tips for Windsor Fillies Handicap Odds

If A LA VOILE had scored her recent win in a better race then we probably would have been leaning towards Sir Michael Stoute’s filly as our main pick for this race.

She should still be in the frame of course, but HOLD FAST looks good enough to come back from being thrown into the Royal Ascot deep end and collect a victory here.

She is likely to get back on track after that Group 2 misfire and under handicap should impress. The other that we like to get into the top three is GEIZY TEIZY who should be competitive.
