There is just four European PGA Tournaments left before the season finale of the Dubai World Championship, and some players are still trying to squeeze their way into that, while others are looking to secure their Tour card on the European Tour for next year. While Martin has dominated here over the past two years, he hasn’t been in particular great shape with his form, and he is lacking a bit of confidence by his own admission. But out at a big price of 33/1 with Bet365 to win here due simply on his course history, he makes a decent outside shot realistically.
For your Alfred Dunhill Championship betting, you definitely need to look to players with great driving accuracy off the tee, as the majority of previous winners here have had high averages in landing on the fairway. With those two being home talents, then there is an extra little advantage on them.
But England’s Robert Rock could be the one to watch out for. A very popular character, who has also won on European Tour this year, earning his first Tour career victory when he came home first a the BMW Italian Open back in May. There is more to Rock’s case as well, because he finished with a second place finish at Leopard’s Creek two years ago, just two shots off the top, plus he also posted an 8th place finish here in the previous running of the event. Just to dip right down the golf betting list here and to pull out a complete long shot, look for England’s Robert Dinwiddie. You may well be asking yourself, who? But bear with us. Dinwiddie posted a sixth at the event last December, and also a top ten finish a couple of years before. Is not in great form to be honest, but is a horses for courses type of bet and there is extra incentive because he need a big performance to squeeze into the top 115 for the Race to Dubai from his current standing of 142. Dinwiddie is well out at 90/1 with Bet365.
