It is into the final round of action before relegation kicks in to 2013 Premier League Darts betting, thanks to its new format. After all ten competitors have played each other once, the bottom two drop out and the final eight play each other again to see who finishes in the top four and moves ahead to the knockout finals night. Phil Taylor climbed his way back to the top of the pile last week, and Wes Newton and Gary Anderson both remain in big trouble in the drop zone.

Online bookmaker Paddy Power are offering some good coverage for your Premier League darts betting. Gary Anderson v James Wade
Scotland’s Anderson needs a win here. Anything less and he will be dropping out of the season. Anderson had a big opportunity in last week’s fixtures as he went toe to toe with the relegation threatened Wes Newton. However, despite Anderson outscoring his opponent heavily, it was the Englishman who somehow stole home with the victory. That’s back to back defeats now for Anderson and going up against an in form Wade isn’t going to helpful. Wade shot down Michael Van Gerwen last week to continue his impressive season. Wade should win this one.
Anderson 5/2, Draw 4/1, Wade 10/11

Phil Taylor v Robert Thornton
The Power got back to where he belongs with a 7-3 triumph over Barneveld last week in Glasgow. After back to back defeats in the league, Taylor has now responded with back to back wins and is looking better again. A heavy 102 three dart average saw him back in great shape last week and would expect him to push on this week. He goes against Thornton though, who has had a solid season himself. Scotland’s Thornton crushed Simon Whitlock 7-1 last week, in what was arguably his best match of the season, posting a 107 three dart average. Should be a cracking match, neither are desperate for points, so this should be just pure entertainment.
Taylor 1/2, Draw 5/1, Thornton 4/1

Wes Newton v Andy Hamilton
England’s Wes Newton needs a win against his fellow countryman. He has only secured two all season though and could be in trouble. Anything less than a win for Newton will see him relegated, but he is only one point away from safety so there is a little bit of hope. He pulled out a crucial win over Anderson last week in Glasgow, even though again, he didn’t score convincingly. Then again, neither did Andy Hamilton who lost against Adrian Lewis. But Hamilton has posted twice as many wins this season as Newton has, and has looked pretty decent. Hamilton has been the heavier scorer out of the two this season, so that could just be the thing to edge this.
Newton 2/1, Draw 15/4, Hamilton 6/5

Michael van Gerwen v Simon Whitlock
Van Gerwen took a hit last week as he was outsmarted by James Wade, even though he recorded a very good 104 three dart average. The power is all there for Van Gerwen, it was just an off night when the finishing wasn’t quite there, while Wade’s was. The Dutchman is a firm favourite to take a win in Brighton this week as Whitlock has lost the last two on the bounce. Whitlock is in danger of relegation if he loses this and either Wes Newton or Gary Anderson happen to win their games. That happens and the Wizard will miss the second half of the season. Can totally see it happening though.
Van Gerwen 4/7, Draw 9/2, Whitlock 4/1

Adrian Lewis v Raymond van Barneveld
Double world champion Lewis has had a poor season by his standards, just lacking the consistency to really mount any challenge. He is just two points ahead of the drop zone and he should just be alright as long he stays close legs to Van Barneveld on the night. That should be enough to keep him up. Lewis has woken up a bit, now unbeaten in his last four matches after a poor start to the season. But then Barneveld has been great all season long, and taking a hit against Phil Taylor last week can be excused. Barneveld has lost just twice this season, is posting a good three dart average, but can just see Lewis edging it, as he has more at stake.
Lewis 2/1, Draw 15/4, Van Barneveld 11/10
