There is a decent chance of a medal coming Team GB’s way on Friday. Dominic Parsons was impressive during Skeleton practice runs earlier in the week and on Monday he posted the quickest time on both Monday and Tuesday practices in PyeongChang. The men’s competition, which is over four-runs, will start on Thursday and draw to its conclusion on Friday. Parsons really has every chance of coming hold with a medal in this one, but he is 12/1 shot at Coral to make it gold* (betting odds taken at 6:25 pm on January 14th, 2018).
The main threat in the field is Sung-Bin Yun who is the odds-on favourite at Coral and the South Korean slider is the current World Cup titlist for the 2017/18 season. He won five of the eight races in the competition for the season and that puts him really in prime position to go and collect the Olympic title as well.
The main threat to him is going to come from Latvia’s Martins Dukurs and Germany’s Axel Jungk. Dukurs opened the World Cup season with a win in the first race and followed it up with one more title coming out in Switzerland. It was Jungk though who broke through to win the final event of the tournament on home ice in Germany, edging out Dukurs.

Men’s Skeleton Winner Predictions
Expect the gold to go to the South Korean Sung-Bin Yoon there really doesn’t look to be much hope of anyone toppling him over the four runs. He has is the real start of the show, but there is big value in backing Parsons to get out of this with a medal, especially on the back of his practice runs. His challenge will be holding off Jungk, because legend Dukurs is more likely than not going to be in the medals.
