It has been a tournament of high excitement for England at the 2018 World Cup and after their intense heroics against Colombia in the round of sixteen, bookmaker Paddy Power decided to fire up some England specials, but with nothing to do directly with their performances at the 2018 World Cup.

England will face Sweden on Saturday for a place in the semi-finals but at the moment the country is still riding the high of winning their first ever World Cup shootout as they dumped the South Americans Colombia from the competition.

Paddy Power traders have put 6/1 odds* (betting odds were taken from July 5th, 2018 at 10.00 pm) on England boss Gareth Southgate being honoured in the New Years’ honours list and that is a pretty drastic chop considering that he was nothing more than a 250/1 shot ahead o the 2018 World Cup.

Another of the England heroes from this World cup campaign is, of course, Harry Kane out on the pitth who has set himself up with a pretty decent shot at winning the Golden Boot after scoring six goals in three games. Kane is at 16/1 odds* (betting odds were taken from July 5th, 2018 at 10.00 pm) to receive a Knighthood come the announcement of the awards at the end of the year.

Another of the big end of year features is the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award and even if England can’t deliver the title then Kane would be a pretty strong contender to win the title and he is 8/11 at the moment* (betting odds were taken from July 5th, 2018 at 10.00 pm) to do that. Without a shadow of a doubt, the England team are probably going to walk away with the Team of the Year Award at the ceremony considering the new life they have breathed into the game.

England are 4/1 shots to win the 2018 World Cup* (betting odds were taken from July 5th, 2018 at 10.00 pm)  ahead of the quarter finals. After England got through that tense trial against Colombia, comedians Skinner and Baddiel posted a picture of themselves together celebrating on social media. You know what that means, of course, speculation of whether or not they would re-release their famous anthem ‘Three Lions’ if England wins the World Cup.
